Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The square itself is the municipal centre-point of the Colombian capital and is worth a look for the architecture fencing it in.

A beautiful and impressive building in French style architecture situated on one side of the Plaza de Bolivar. Unfortunately the day we visited a tented stage had been set up in front of it for a festival that afternoon and we could not get a good view nor photos of it . As many events are held in the square I take it this happens quite often .

This is the head office of the Mayor of Bogota who is in fact the second most powerful person in Colombia after the President . It fits very well with the other 3 majopr buildings on the Plaza de Bolivar : the Supreme Court , the Cathedral and the Congress , all symbols of power !

The building is located on the west side of the Plaza de Bolivar and in now days is the city hall of the city. The building has a neoclassical style and it was completed in 1907. Previously at the same site there were other historic buildings which were destroyed. The first building was seriously damaged by earthquakes and the second one which replaced the first building was completely destroyed by fire in 1900.
