Oh my God what a let down. There is not a lot to see. and I'm not quite sure if you're supposed to be able to go inside to but I couldn't,there is not a lot left of it. from the top you can see the town. That is about it.

I walked around the city today, and there is not really much to see. I decided to walk here and the fort is not impressive, but you get a good view of the city. There was some military members of there having a meeting in formation, and I didn't want to get too close and bother them, so I left... More

This small fort is mostly a ruin, and hosts beneath it one of the city's reservoirs. There are a few derelict buildings, but that is all. Right next to the military base, Fort Ceperou is best used as the premier vantage point in Cayenne. Seeing it takes 5 minutes if you're slow.

Find the steps if you don't have a car. It's not a strenuous walk and well worth it for the views. The turret is in disrepair and the door off it's hinges but there was no litter and a pleasant breeze at the top.

There really isn't much left of the fort, originally built in the 1600s, but there is a view of the city that is worth the climb. Cayenne is a pretty flat place, but the elevation at the Fort offers a commanding view of the city and its stategic location at the mouth of the Cayenne River.

There is a good view over the town but very little left of the fort. No information, a big water storage tank and a drunken observation tower. Worth the drive for the view but as a fort don't bother

It's worth a short hike up to the top near sunset in order to get a good view out over Cayenne. The fort itself is really not too impressive (what's left of it).
