The Plaza Uruguaya offers a pleasant break from visiting the various sites in the historical center of Asunción. It is a green area with several beautiful trees like flamboyant (in bloom in November). There are several benches to sit on, if they are not occupied...More

Place is just a big not very pretty park with homeless people living in tents right in the middle. Just pass through. May be more interesting if there’s some event going on.

Many places here to sit and relax, and the unique thing about this square are the bookstores that it has incorporated into the park. A great spot to explore Paraguay history

Just an ordinary square, not evenparticularly well-kept, a far cry from other South-American squares, especially considering that Asunciòn is a capital.

The plaza is a nice place to sit and people watch, but there's not a whole lot here. A few statues of poor quality dotted around the gardens, but otherwise, it's simply a nice spot to relax if you're wandering the city centre.

Plaza Uruguaya is one of the nicest ones in town. One that has not been claimed by the homeless and is kept reasonably well. There are nice sitting areas, as well as a playground for children.

It is my first time in a city park surrounded by a fence, even though it is in the heart of the city, dogs are not allowed either, I guess every country is different.

Don't miss this great part of Asunción. The architecture is spectacular. It will bring you back to a simpler time when life was slower and there was time to enjoy. Browse the open air markets on the weekends and the street sellers everyday. If you...More

Plaza Uruguaya is a nice park in the center of Asuncion where you can relax and take a break during a typical hot day. There are people playing chess and you can share a Terere, the national drink, with some friendly locals!
