Very interesting!

This is a very interesting boulevard, and many of the buildings are very nice...unfortunately, many of them are falling apart and there are lots of homeless people in the area.

Waterkrant is a short piece of street, but the row of beautiful 19th century buildings, in various states of repair overlooking the river is a perfect introduction to Paramaribo. For architecture fans, and other lovers of different buildings, time spent on the Waterkrant is never wasted.

The Waterfront, is the place to be on a cool evening, enjoying the views across the suriname river to the west bank, while sipping a cold beer. Further east you can stroll to the central market where exotica awaits.Fruits, veggies, herbs, tradition, magic, meats, foods, and myriad aromas will tantalize you. This is a must visit.

Paramaribo is unlike any other capital city I've seen, because of the Dutch architecture from the 1800's that has been preserved. Some of the buildings are without paint and some are gloriously restored, and both add to the charm. This is a definite stop if you enjoy history, especially UNESCO sites. Charming. Drive/walk around the whole area so you can... More

A stroll through the riverside Boulevard in Paramaribo brings you across colonial buildings, some local food stands, the Independence square, the Presidential building. If you walk a bit further you'll see the Fort Zeelandia (museum), the Garden of Palms (Palmentuin) and the popular restaurants and hotels.

This place along the Suriname river is a perfect place to relax and watch the locals relax (also in the evening). You can also have a little bit to eat or drink over here. And along the street are some beautiful wooden old buildings. We sat a few hours over here on a saturday evening and there were a lot... More

This is a great place to go with friends to just sit and relax. Enjoy the view of the Suriname-river. You can als find good food for a decent price :) Would certainly recommend going here if you just want to sit back and relax.

Too hot for the morning. in the night, beggars and thief's you can't recognize. Do not visit after 00.00 hours. A must visit, but don't carry too much money or ornaments to make people think you are wealthy. I don't know about the food. Seems not so healthy.
