October is when we stayed and it's windy all the time. I think this is normal for the time of year even though the temperature is reasonably warm. A waterfront walk takes you around the all the bays. If you are staying at the Chateau...More

This is an average sort of beach. You would not go all the way from another country as it's not that exciting. However there are day trips that you can do to near by islands by taking a boat from Anse Vata. The main road...More

This is the most popular beach in Noumea because it has plenty of space to spread out and for the local kids to play games or just chill out. It is great to watch the wind surfers and kite surfers do their stuff, but it...More

The beach is a 10 minute drive from the centre of Noumea. We spent a few hours there then took a boat trip to nearby Duck island. Food on duck island was expensive, limited & you had to pay for a shaded seat. We came...More

Typical pacific island beach, not much sand but gorgeous to look at and great place to walk along the sidewalk that runs the whole length of the beach. Some good sightseeing watching the windsurfers and parasurfers.

Calm, clear waters, decent but not great sand, many pubs and restaurants around, lots of mobile marine gear rentals, taxi boats to the nearby islands. There are showers every hundred meters or so. At night you have several bars to choose from. It is quite...More

Anse Vata Beach is a lovely spot to visit, however I cannot give it a high rating as a beach. If you are used to the beaches in Australia Anse Vata Beach will not impress. I would still recommend visiting the area though.

3 weeks should be fine, but bring lots of money it's very expensive. I understand you may be able to rent campers on the island. that's what I would look into next time.
