Go there is you can

Drive a hire car to Ollei and take a boat up to this incredible location. Stay if you can. Eat the fish and bananas, drink the coconut milk.

We went with Rock Island tours. It was an all day outing. The boat was well equipped as it should be because the ocean was very rough. They had rain gear for everyone. The boat driver was capable, but it was quite an experience. The island is dream, few people and miles of white sand

Nearly 2 hours of tough speed boat ride is needed from Koror. If the weather doesn't permit, no way to go there. Nothing special for tour, just very small village, generic hand craft souvenirs and monkey bananas. However, if you get there in sunny day, absolutely surreal beach will welcome you. I've been around quite a few beautiful beaches but... More

First time I heard about Kayangel when planning my Palau trip I was a bit pesimistic - no Internet reviews about the place, far away and expensive to reach. However it was the greatest time spent in Palau - both in getting to know the local culture and the local life. One big advice - book an overnight (or more... More

Had a great day here the kids loved it, crystal clear water. blue lagoons great beaches. We collected sea shells and built sand castles. The beaches for the most part are quite deserted. A very beautiful place. The only down side was the local KFC & McDonalds were very hard to find. We looked for ages and still no luck.... More

one can email kayangel state or call ( 680-488-2766) to get an approval if ok to get a small tent that can use on the beach once he/she set foot on the island. Then one can get a real experience living in the only atoll in Palau

When people talk about paradise they probably have in mind this island although they might have never heard about it. The long formations of sand, the crystal waters and the whole island is an incredible sight!!

My trip to Kayangel Island with Impac tours was the highlight of my trip to Palau. Mere words cannot describe the natural beauty of this island. I read the review from February advising against visiting Kayangel due to typhoon damage and I almost didn't go-but I'm so glad I did! The beaches were stunning-beautiful white sand with seashells and driftwood.... More

Please be aware that Kayangel has been severely damaged by a typhoon. More than half the trees are gone, which means it's hard to find shade on this arid atoll. Many houses have been destroyed and the overall damage is still visible everywhere. Many people left for Palau. The few remaining inhabitants did not seem to too happy to see... More
