I was lucky enough to stay in the new Villa accomodation recently opened. The rooms are fantastic! The Villa's are large and very spacious - with plenty of room to move. The bathrooms are large and well fitted out - the shower is especially great (see attached pictures). The spa on the deck is a great addition! I have stayed in a lot of places in Honiara and this is by far the best. I will definitely be staying here on all my future trips!
I was also lucky enough to snorkel off the end of the jetty at the resort on one afternoon- I found out later that it's called Harry's Landing - I was surprised at how many species of fish were just off the end of the jetty - it was very refreshing and a lot of fun!
Take my word for it - stay here, you won't regret it!!

I am currently staying in one of the new Villas only recently opened. It is amazing, first class inside and out. It's a huge room with high ceilings, massive TV, private spa and deck. Very comfortable bed without doubt the nicest place I have stayed in the country. The staff are lovely, the food is great. I can't say a bad word about the place. I had a steak last night and could cut it with a butter knife. They clearly strive for a very high standard in all areas.
There's a new ocean front bar and more rooms being built at the moment that are close to the villas but they seem very conscious of guests and noise, you don't really notice it when your in the room.
The key to the room has a VIP pass with it so I went in for a punt and played on a new table with 3 dice. Never seen the game before but had a crack and won so walked out to the bar for some drinks off my winnings.

Visiting the Solomon Islands isn't complete unless you actually get out of Honiara the National Capital and setting foot on some of the nearly 900 + islands that make up this beautiful tropical country. Coral Sea Resort offers one of the best and well equipped boat charters to explore the neighbouring and very beautiful Florida, Savo and Russell Islands. We managed a day off work and went out on the Coral Sea Boat. It was a great day. We had a few beers a good lunch and most of all caught some great fish. The photos tell it all.
My first ever mahi mahi and the staff organized the kitchen to cook it for dinner. Amazing experience definitely my fondest memory of all my visits to Honiara.

When Coral Sea Resort opened it was hailed as being a 5-star resort with casino and restaurant. The casino is small but well managed. It can get quite busy but in general, it is a nice place to visit if you want to have a punt. The restaurant has a nice menu but is let down by inconsistent quality. I have had to send back a Tom Yum soup because it was inedible, recently. But their steaks are nice - stick with the meat or burgers and you can't go too wrong. At the moment accommodation is still being built, but it should be very nice when that part opens.

Thank you for posting a review of your experience. A lot has changed since your last visit in January 2017.
- We have opened a new restaurant on the waterfront, The Boardwalk. Our Head Chef Frank Foo, and his team serve up delicious of Asian street food. You can also enjoy the most extensive beer list in town while watching Honiara best sunsets! If you haven't already, you should try our "Shell Out" Night every Wednesday from 6pm, giving you a taste of Solomon's freshest seafood, Malaysian style.
- The 30 New Deluxe Suites were opened early August 2017 and come with sea views or garden views, a private balcony, free wifi access and a roomy and modern ensuite. We are currently experiencing construction of the Marina, a beach and a water activities desk. There shall be completed upon your next visit.
- Full Breakfast is Complimentary. All In House guests have the choice of a dish off Haydn's A La Carte Breakfast menu and a Continental Breakfast
We are sorry to hear that Haydn's Steakhouse did not live up to your expectations. We have been making some exciting changes so I definitely encourage you give us another try. We have New Menus (Breakfast, Lunch, Express Lunch and Dinner), New Drinks and a passion to make every visit exceptional!

I am actually looking for a boat to charter for ten days that is suitable for ten passengers . It is not for diving only . . . . it is so we can have a good look around the Solomons
