We came across the island by chance as we were driving around and , having had enough of avoiding potholes, decided to park up and take the boat across. Nice place to spend the day sunbathing and snorkelling. There is a small restaurant on the...More

We caught the boat to Hideaway and then paid for the day entry and snorkel hire. Snorkelling was fun but nothing to rave about. The underwater postbox is a novelty. We had lunch which was yummy. It was a good family day out

Visited by our group on two separate occasions. Great snorkelling over coral. Hired kayaks to paddle around the bay area and look at the sea life and coral. The café served good quality food and were very responsive to a dietary need. Plenty of tables...More

Great for quick day trip across short span of water with the boat running there and back all day. Pay entry fee on arrival. About $25-30 AUD for family. Snorkeling spit is pretty good and beach has plenty of shaded tables to escape blazing sun....More

Really nice snorkeling, and a nice beach area- unfortunately that's all you get unless you stay at the resort. Don't go expecting more than that.

If you want to explore one of the islands, this is a great one. Easy snorkeling off the beach for little ones, the beach is all coral though, so reef walkers are a must, the underwater post office was novel, it is deep though, perhaps...More

Felt that this experience was definitely a TOURIST one. Wouldn’t recommend for people who genuinely want to have a great snorkelling experience. The current was far too strong. The underwater post office experience is tacky and outdated! Also very deep and hard to reach against...More

Accommodating and sweet natured resort that goes out of its way to host well. There are some special extra features like movie nights and an underwater PO Box & a marine park. The rooms are beautiful and above expectations in all cases but particularly so...More

We left our stuff stowed under the beach loungers, and didnt have any issues. We went on a non-cruise day, so it wasnt very crowded, and went on our own using the local buses - cost 500 vatu each way per person (~AUD5), and... More

Myself & two boys (14 & 9) will be arriving by P/Dawn to Port Vila at the end of Feb 2018 - the Half day North Efate Snorkelling Adventure states it's $100 pp - have heard that it's relatively easy to find your own way by going to the road & getting a free taxi there yourself; are they really free? I'm not good at directions nor can I speak French; so v nervous about it. We want to be coming away with the most wonderful experiences but want to not pay for a tour if it's just as easy to find our own way - or is it best to pay/book a tour if your novice at it all? We want to post a card at the underwater post office - is it easy to find where to purchase these, if not with a tour? Also really want to go to the Blue Lagoon on the same day is this possible? and do the Big Zipline Track - we unfortunately only have a day visit; so your opinions on what is doable/recommended would be gold. Thk-u.
