These markets situated undercover in the Main Street are run by the locals for the locals and it is the place to buy fresh produce at the right price. Stall holders are obliging and friendly. Also the best place to purchase souvenirs as the shops in the Main Street are expensive and some are quite dingy inside. Worth a visit!

We got off the cruise ship early as we wanted to look around. We talked to several taxi drivers all had different prices to take you here there and everywhere. It turned out being a Sunday, nothing was open. We did not know this. We agreed with one driver to take us to the city center. There was nothing there,... More

We visited here on our last day and wished we had purchased some of the local produce sooner. A great range of local produce to choose from and the prices were very cheap. Great to know you are supporting the local farmers.

These markets are great right in the middle of town. So much fresh fruit and vegetables. Fantastic quality. There is fresh fish too. The kitchens are great where you can get very good priced meals. The souvenir section has a great variety of goods. Definitely a place you shouldn't miss seeing while in Port Vila.

This a locally run market where the money goes back to the locals. If you don't have much time for souvenir shopping head here. Mostly sarongs, shirts, little trinkets with some carvings. Very friendly mamas running the markets.

A nice way to kill some time from the rain, the store holders are wonderful ladies, a truly great experience.

Great locally owned market...the money goes straight into the pocket of the locals as opposed to the foreign investors. Go down the back and sit with the locals and eat the local food...the quality is AMAZING!!! I wish i had discovered it earlier as the food in port villa is overpriced and bad quality and rather than paying $30 for... More

This is basically a food market, selling primarily to locals. Fortunately it is undercover as it was raining when I was there for a day on a cruise. There's nothing spectacular about it, but it's there in the main street so why not go in and look around.

We walked into town and strolled around and found this little gem of a place, while most of the shops are owned by the Chinese this is run by the locals.. selling arts crafts, tshirts and dresses.. about average prices but at least you know that the money is actually going to locals.. well worth the walk
