I arrived in Yangon and having read about the weekly bike rides that Bike World hosts on Friday and Sundays, I called in advance, then rented a bike from Jeff, the co-owner with his wife Soe Soe. I am a bike rider but a middleaged woman. The mountain bike they gave me should have been pumped up but I didn't... More

There are two highlights to any week in Yangon: the midnight bicycle ride on Fridays (start time is actually 10pm, finishing shortly after midnight), and the all-morning ride on Sundays (in the truck at 6:30, on your bike by 8 after a quick breakfast at a teashop, back to the starting place around 3pm). I’ve taken both rides several times,... More

I arrived at Jeff's Sunday morning ride outside of Yangon slightly terrified having not been on a bike in a decade. I left pumped full of endorphinns and ready to go again...after a serious nap. Even as a regular ditance runner, I was spent after hours of peddaling over muddy, slightly hilly trails. This is not a ride for the... More

Not only great bicycle tours through out Myanmar but the best bicycle shop in the country and a wonderful Bed and Breakfast to start your tour of the country. Jeff and Soe Soe are wonderful hosts with great advice on where to go and what to see and their rooms, staff and service are the best we found in Burma.... More

I had the opportunity of joining the Friday night bike ride which is an exhilerating 2 hours of pedalling and driving lessons for Yangon mixed into one crazy ride. Gold pagodas popping up when you turn corners, glowing and visually striking. Jeff was a kind host and let me use of of his spare bikes during the ride for a... More

I stayed at BWEM's B&B for one night, and found Soesoe and Jeff to be very friendly. Soesoe even took me on a night bike tour with another guest to the nearest dinner place, which was fantastic. Both hosts are great to talk to and provide the best service to their guests. The accommodation is definitely value-for-money in Yangon -... More

We can only recommend to stay at Jeff and Soe Soe, they make you feel at home. They are good at arranging tours and help with useful information. While staying at BWEM guesthouse (see separate review) we had 3 great cycling experiences. (1) Owner Jeff pointed us in the right direction and with two BWEM bikes, we headed off around nearby Inya Lake and nearby surrounds for half a day - a gentle introduction to the local area! (2) The Friday night 10pm-midnight Yangon city bikeride is not... More
