Some of the shops inside the museum had signs with strong political views. If you do visit and want to buy - bargain! Whatever discount they offer you can still reduce the price by 30 - 40%.

The Museum occupies one floor in the building and sales booths occupy the other floors. The Museum collection is impressive and displays the many Gems found in Myanmar. The sales booths are overwhelming in number and variety of offerings. Prices are quite resonable for value.

Myanmar Gems Museum has many jewellery displaying and those are very precious and rare products . Entrance fees is not very much and valuable to access . And lower block has many jewellery shops opening and good for shopping .

There's not much to see at the "museum" but there are several floors where you can shop for every type of gem and jewelry.

Though a bit commercialized with its entrance fee and showroom downstairs for shopping, the museum nonetheless highlights the gems that are mined in Myanmar and where they are found. It is educational because one couldn't imagine all the different colors of tourmaline, for example, or...More
