The museum is in the house once lived in by Bogyoke Aund San and his family. Sadly, one of his sons died in the swimming pool there. it does not take long to walk through the various rooms but you do get a good feel...More

It costs about USD $4.00. Really very little to see. Will take you less than 10 minutes to walk through the rooms. There is no analysis of the general's place in Burmese history. Honestly, you're better off seeing U Thant house.

Unless u are a big fan of history or keen to familiarize with the Aung San's family history, ten minutes will be sufficient to complete the tour of the double-storeyed house. Foreigners need pay an entrance fee, and staff wasn't helpful and friendly.

Moving photographs and historic documents in the garden takes you back to the assassination of General Aung San. Inside the house, it's stunning to see General' Aung San's bedroom and living areas. We went on Martyr's day, so the grief of visitorswas very real.

This was Aung San's family home for the last two years of his life, and it is furnished as if they were still living there. It's a beautiful colonial-style house with turrets and lots of open space.

Very interesting large home to see where General Aung San lived before he was assassinated. The furniture, clothes etc are like it was when he lived there. It is a great history lesson on the kind of person he was.

If you want souvenirs or if you are like me and you're constantly on the look out from fabrics to buy, this is the place to go. I was in heaven. The fabrics were really cheap.
