We just wanted to know how people move here but it was a terrific experience. We had chance to see the scenery around through the window, talking to local people to know more about their life. Very good to try

The circle train is a really fun experience in Yangon. The train is used a lot by commuters in the morning and evening rush hours but is very quiet through the middle of the day. I'd suggest avoiding it during peak times. We took the...More

Interesting way to get a bit closer to the locals. All manner of folk ride this commuter train, along with the inevitable vendors. Loved the lady carrying watermelon slices on her head. The train passes through rural, urban and market scenery, so you get a...More

Going to the station, being directed to the ticket office, rushing to board, people loading large bags and boxes. It's interesting for about 1 hour, then it is the same inside and out. It still costs only 200 Kyat. I recommend getting off at Insein,...More

Even if this is your first day or first year in yangon, this trip is still gonna give you a new view to the Local people and areas. Jump on the train for a penny and just feel the City your in. Go!

Great scenery. You can hop on and off wherever you’d like but make sure to take a look at your google maps to see where you are and if you are near a road to access a taxi. Very safe and fun experience.

A must for anyone visiting Yangon. Tickets cost 200 kyats, which is just 15c or 11p in English money. The journey is a totally immersive trip into Yangon city, suburban and rural life as you travel slowly from the inner city through crowded neighbourhoods, out...More

With tour guide luckily. Hot sweaty and no English announcements, yet geared towards only tourists!! Shows the worst side of the city with homes along the track. Leave out and get a guide to take you into markets etc as ours did afterwards.

Commuting Burmese style and a great way to see parts of Yangon that are off the tourist trail. It is fascinating watching the vendors ply their trade, which they so do efficiently and impressively. However, it does get quite hot and the train doesn't move...More
