Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is very interesting and a place of prayer and worship. Also a place to visit who love the architecture.

...the place was closed and I could not enter, so I had to settle for a few pics from the street.
It is a nice piece of architecture and it shines amidst a rather shabby - yet central - neighborhood.

This cathedral surprised me. If I were commissioned to design a cathedral this is what I would strive for. A real surprise to find this in a country that is primarily Buddhist.

Really good to see, and glad we did, as part of a self-guided walking tour. The exterior is especially good. Costs 2,000 chat to enter.

Christmas decorations were just coming down when we visited in early January. A life size Santa playing a saxophone greater us in the entry. The original paintings of the life of Christ were beautiful. Birds flew in and out of the church. Not your typical "European Cathedral" and definitely worth a visit. K 2000 entry fee.

This is a very nice cathedral in Yangon. Catholicism is decidedly a minority religion here, representing about 1% of the nation's population. People from other traditions who visit this church do so, therefore, in a spirit of openness and interest. However, there is precious little here in the way of welcome or the availability of educational materials. This is a mistake that the archbishop really ought to do something to address, since this is cathedral is his personal seat.

A large Cathedral with very interesting architecture & beautiful stained glass windows & religious statues. Well worth a visit to something you would not have expected to have survived over the centuries

A European style Cathedral in the middle of Yangon. This is a beautiful structure with 2 tall bell towers. Beautiful stained glass windows inside. Worth the visit.

It is quite amusing to find such a lovely cathedral in a Buddhist country like Myanmar. St. Mary's Cathedral is surprisingly well kept. Its stately facade adds European flair to Yangon. Unfortunately it was not open during our visit.
