We had real excitement of going to see the house but were hugely disappointed that all we got to see was a gate and a security guard but we noted the living conditions and poverty of some locals living next door. The property isnt a tourist attraction save yourself the time of seeing it

Helped us understand more of, and get a real feel for, the recent history of Myanmar that led to the rule by the Military Junta and the recent 'thawing' and opening up of the country.

Obviously this house has great historical significance, but there's nothing to see - just a wall and the gates to the house. My taxi slowed down for a moment for me to see it. No point is actually stopping other than to take a quick photo of a wall and a gate!

Can only go inside by making a prior appointment. Still it is awe inspiring to be here, where The Mother Of Burma was kept under house arrest for so long. You can not see much from the roadside but you get the feel of her presence.

It was very worthwhile to visit where Aung San Su Kyi spent fifteen years under house arrest - sad but uplifting too!

Cannot see much - just the guard house next to the driveway gate. We were driving past the house so we stopped for 30 seconds to get a picture. Not worth going out of your way to see the gate.

Just another very nice house. Probably included on most tours, but not worth seeking out on your own. She is held in highest esteem by Burmese, and for good reason, so they want to see/show off her house.

Unfortunately you cannot go inside so all we saw was a gate and a high wall surrounding the compound. If time is limited then I would not go out of my way to see.
