Overview
More
TS.1 is Myanmar's first pop-up concept set within the existing Transit Shed No.1 building at the waterfront of downtown Yangon. This Yangon Pop-Up Project includes three distinct spaces for commerce, culture and cuisine. The concept, developed by Pun & Projects, further connects Myanmar with the global community and increases momentum toward urban renewal and cultural exchange in the country. In keeping with the pop-up concept, spreading in popularity throughout international locales including Europe and the US, the Yangon Pop-Up Project incorporates different exhibitions in the gallery space, different retailers in the retail space and different menus in the restaurant space; all "popping-up" and rotating regularly.

Hi all, TS1 Yangon as a space closed permanently in 2015. The listing was never updated. The jetty is still a beautiful place to see the sunset, and you can still see the warehouse where TS1 once was.

The riverside and the jetties arebehind a high wall, with only narrow exits every now and then. We tried the one opposite Phone Gyi Street by Chinatown and were completely overthrown of the longtailboats transfering people to the other side of the river. After an...More

Myanmar's first pop-up concept, TS1 (daily 10.00-18.30) is a modern space right on the Yangon River that when we visited hosted a gay-themed (wow!) photography exhibition but not much else. While the place is rather small, we appreciate it for three reasons. First, it's an...More

Fantastic to find a place like this in the hussle bussle of Yangon. Unfortunately couldn't spend more than a few minutes here as I was passing. The city is in much need of places like this, a retreat for the mind, a place to gather...More

I stumbled upon this little gem while walking along Lanthit jetty on a Sunday evening. Despite the lack of obvious signage outside, I I couldn't help but ventured inside feeling arrested by the sight of artist Aung Myint's works peaking at us from the gallery....More
