About
Gamarjoba Georgia Tours was established in 2017 by three friends. They had a passion and goal: to make unforgettable experiences and memories for each guest. Their hard work and dedication had an excellent outcome; step by step increased the number of tours and hosted more and more guests; On the next level, when it gained more popularity and demand increased, the company extended and added the most talented, intelligent, open-minded team members, with bright ideas and eager to develop. The company founded "Gamarjoba Georgia Guides' Academy," which provides highly trained guides. Because of the high standards, the company became the "Travelers' Choice 2020 and 2022" on TripAdvisor. Today it's ranked as the N1 company in Georgia on GetYourGuide, TripAdvisor, Viator, Expedia, Musement, Civitatis, etc. The company keeps growing, with three co-founders, two shareholders, and about 100 employees, focusing on day trips and all-inclusive multiday tour packages across the country.

Thanks to both Jaba Komakhidze and George Khutsishvili for the great travel planning assistance and excellent email support in organizing airport and city transfers and various tours for my visit to Georgia.

Both gentlemen were very responsive to email requests for information and suggestions (no matter what hour of the day or night--especially given the 10 hour time difference between home and Tbilisi). From the moment my plane landed to the moment I was returned to the airport 8 days later, my trip was seamless thanks largely to the dedicated staff of this company and these two gentlemen in particular.

By way of example, I planned to spend two nights in Kazbegi and wanted to combine with Gamarjoba's Kazbegi tour on the way there. Instead of just transferring me back to Tbilisi, for virtually the same cost, Jaba had me join a group tour for the return which was thoroughly enjoyable and much better than just a 3 hour taxi or bus ride.

I am a solo traveler. Honestly, I am a bit slow and felt like there were some itineraries for which I did not want to join a group tour. Both Jaba and George recommended a good mix of group tours and private tours (which were more expensive for a solo traveler but definitely worth the cost as far as I was concerned).

I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone traveling to Georgia and would certainly contact them again should my travels find me back in Georgia.

Two friends and I embarked this June on a travel adventure that turned out to be one of the best trips ever. We found that because of the pandemic one of the few countries open to tourists was that of Georgia, which had been on my bucket list for some time. We booked with a local company which none of us had heard of but the relatively inexpensive 2-week tour looked very appealing not only because of the beauty of the mountainous country but because we could stay in the homes of locals. I have done a lot of home stays over the years and find it to be the absolute best way to get to know the culture and what the people are really like.

The tour company personnel and our guide could not have been better, accommodating our every need. Georgia is a small country on the Black Sea sandwiched in between Armenia/Azerbaijan and Russia. It has made giant strides since being released from the grip of the Soviet regime. 65% of the country is mountains, the Caucasus to the north and the Lesser Caucasus to the south. The 3.5 million people live in the wide valley between the two ranges. While Georgia is on the tipping point between Europe and Asia it is very west leaning. Around 1/2 of the population speaks English and all signs have an English counterpart since the alphabet is very unusual, to say the least. The Georgians have been growing grapes and making wine for 8,000 years so, as you can imagine, the wine is excellent and plentiful. The people firmly believe that a visitor is a gift from God and we fully experienced their warm hospitality.

The food is fantastic, inexpensive (along with everything else), and the portions are ample; in fact it would be an excellent place for a westerner, who receives retirement from home, to retire (also a good place for a business startup). The bottom line is that I can personally vouch for the tour company and for the tour. For more complete information Google: Georgia, live like a local.

Amazing experience, I would give them 6 stars if I could!! I booked 3 of their tour, first day I went to Gori, George, my guide knew basically everything about the place. After walking around stone town, he took us to have lunch in a family house and that was for me the highlight of the day! We tried home made food, wine and chacha, the owner of the place told us a little bit of his history and made us feel like part of the family. We went back to Tbilisi and had a walking tour around the city, this time Mariam was our guide and she made Tbilisi 100 times more fun and interesting with her funny stories. We finished the day in a wine shop with wine tasting 🍷🤩. Second day was the perfect day for a wine lover like me 😅 George took us to kakheti wine region, we visited two wineries, tasted some amazing local wine and learned more about Georgian wine tradition and history. On this day I even got the chance to make my own Georgian traditional style bread. For lunch we went again to a family house and was again the highlight of this experience, more wine, chacha and delicious home made Georgian food. At this point I was already drunk 😂 and we continue our tour going to St. George’s monastery of St. Nino and Sighnaghi, the city of love.
Third and last day I went to the mountains, Natia was my guide this time and she took us to Kazbegi. We went all the way up to Gergeti trinity church, visited Georgian Russian friendship monument and enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountains cover with snow. This is the perfect tour to take amazing pictures and Natia knew all the good spots for it. It was a long day due some road problems because of the snow but totally worth it.
Besides the tour, they can help you with basically everything else, from airport pickup/drop off, buying a SIM card, exchanging money, and PCR test.
The tour guides are young and full of knowledge, Georgians in general are very welcoming people, but this guys made me feel home, I couldn’t thank them enough!! They definitely made my trip the best I had so far! 🥰 I can’t wait to come back!

I luckily did three different day tours with Gamarjoba Georgia Tours this week and I can't praise them enough! Organisation and contact are extremely efficient, friendly and professional - and besides that they're all very nice people. The tours are very well designed in terms of length, breaks and coverage of sites/landmarks, the groups are never too big, everybody is still recognised and treated as an individual guest. All three tour guides I had the pleasure to travel with (Helen/Elene, Nini/Ungo, and Sally/Salome have been beyond expectation: very nice, well educated, enthousiastic and interested people who love their country and are happy and proud to share all their knowledge and wit with spirit, good humour and patience. Promoting their country's beauty and potential seems personal concern much rather than guideline duty.

Gamarjoba may be a tiny bit more expensive than the countless flimsy offers at every street corner, the price difference is worth every GEL! After every tour (even the 14 hour one) I found myself thinking what a pity it's over!

Ended up having a private tour since no one else booked the tour. Even our destination is two hour drive from the city, my guide didn’t left me bored along the way. Guina with our driver Mako (sorry if I spelled both wrong) made it a remarkable trip by sharing information about Tbilsi . Along the way, snow started to fall which made me super excited of what we are about to see up the mountains. Upon reaching Bakuriani, I asked Guina if we can take the cable car going to the top and he didn’t disappoint me. We tried the snow mobile car to go inside snowy mountains and then three deers surprised us along the way. Borjomi Park was quiet and calm place to visit. I enjoyed it more as there were less tourist that time. Gamarjoba once again made my Tbilisi trip a memorable one. See you on Summer time.. Note: Guina, if you are reading this, kindly share our few selfies as I don’t have any with me.. 

Excellent Svaneti, Kutaisi and Samagrelo tour!

We had an excellent driver and tour guide, Showa and Sally for our private tour.

We really appreciated how Sally made sure we also got to go to the wineries we were interested in visiting and how she went above and beyond to secure an appointment with the wineries for us.

She was a great guide. Very informative & passionate about Georgia and we were very lucky to have her for this four day tour. She really made our trip to Georgia very memorable.

We would recommend this tour to anyone!

At first I was a bit nervous to spend 12 hours on a wine region tour with a bunch of strangers but it turned about to be an amazing trip with a great tour guide, Gigi. Everything was taken care of from breakfast to the wine tours to bathroom breaks. All in all I would recommend this to anyone traveling alone or in a group.

Thank you, Gamarjoba Georgia Tours for an amazing and memorable experience. The tour was well planned, informative and fun at the same time. Wine testing in the wine factory and winery tunnels will probably make you leave with a bottle or 2, as the wine is so good! Followed by tasting of a delicious traditionally baked bread and 100% natural cheese makes the wine tour even more perfect. Lunch with a stunning view, walk in the old city, monastery visit completes the tour and leaves you with only good memories. Special thanks to Tata, our tour guide - I would say the best tour guide you could wish for, full of positivity, with a great sense of humour and a great person in general!
I would highly recommend to book a tour with these guys 🙌👍🏻 Cheers 🍷

We had the most wonderful guide and driver for a vacation tour of Georgia. We enjoyed the flexibility in what we saw, how much time we wanted to devote to each activity, and the range of activities. The guest homes were all well chosen and reflective of the areas with nice hosts. The restaurants were all excellent and we were able to choose whatever we wished to eat and drink. The entire staff we encountered were charming, helpful and delightful to be with. While very professional in the services our guide and driver also became great friends on a trip filled with both laughter and sightseeing. Would recommend to anyone.

We booked two tours back to back for Kazbegi and Gori, which were both amazing. Our tour guide Tiko was so much fun and tailored our adventures to things we wanted to do over just a “set in stone” type tour. She was extremely knowledgeable with everything we wanted to see, really helping you absorb a lot of Georgian culture and history. We plan on returning during the summer months next time!
