- Away With Anna - Travel Blog58 contributionsWorth walking across if you're in the areaBeautiful and modern pedestrian bridge crossing Kura River and connecting to Rike Park. There are good views of the river and city from the bridge. Free to access and a popular photo-taking spot for tourists. There are typically people on the bridge selling boat rides if you are interested. Worth walking across if you're in the area already.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 January 2024

It connects between a lovely park and a great spot in the city for dining, so is well located. Some wonderful modern art in the city.Visited February 2024Travelled soloWritten 28 April 2024
- Milind ShahAhmedabad, India2,048 contributionsA great piece of ArchitectureThe Bridge of Peace in Tbilisi is a stunning example of modern architecture that beautifully complements the historic charm of the city. Spanning the Mtkvari River, this pedestrian bridge is not only a functional crossing but also a symbol of unity and progress. Designed by Italian architect Michele De Lucchi, the bridge features a sleek, glass-and-steel structure that is especially captivating at night when it is illuminated by thousands of LED lights. These lights create a mesmerizing display, reflecting off the river and adding a magical ambiance to the surroundings. Walking across the bridge offers breathtaking views of Tbilisi's old town and the surrounding hills. It's a perfect spot for photography enthusiasts and anyone looking to capture the essence of Tbilisi. The bridge also connects two popular areas: Rike Park and the historic district, making it a convenient and scenic route for exploring the city. Whether you're taking a leisurely stroll, enjoying a boat ride underneath, or simply admiring the architectural beauty, the Bridge of Peace is a must-visit landmark that embodies the spirit of Tbilisi.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 12 August 2024

A gorgeous glass bridge over the Mtkvari river, with a contemporary design, it is a major landmark in Tbilisi, with an amazing view overviewing many other major attractions.
The bridge is illuminated with numerous LEDs, and at night time the lighting feature is a spectacle not to be missed.
It features multiple lighting programs including a message in Morse code that renders the periodic table of elements goes across two parapets every hour.

Nice bridge in the middle of the old Tbilisi only for pedestrians. You can take a look at the city from the river point of view, without the need of taking a boat ride. But the bridge style is in my opinion to modern and doesn't exactly match with the old city's vibe.

For a memorable experience, you can embark on a delightful boat ride underneath the bridge, available at a cost of 25 Lari. This captivating journey allows you to traverse the waters, passing through and beneath the bridge itself. Along with the enchanting scenery, you will also have the pleasure of indulging in a wide array of unlimited beverages.
During the boat ride, you can savor a variety of refreshments, including popular Georgian libations such as cha-cha, a traditional vodka, as well as coffee, wine, and tea. The availability of these beverages ensures that you can immerse yourself in a truly immersive and enjoyable experience.
What makes this experience even more exceptional is the flexibility to continue enjoying a few more drinks even after the boat ride concludes. You have the option to order additional beverages, and if desired, take them with you to enjoy in the comfort of your own surroundings.

The modern bridge has a curved bow shaped roof which sets it apart. It offers great views of many of Tbilisi's attractions like the Narikala fortress, Metekhi Curch, Presidential Office etc. It is a pedestrian only bridge. So you can stroll around at leisure without having to worry about vehicular traffic.
At night, the bridge is beautifully illuminated by hundreds of lights making it a great view and photo opportunity.

The modern bridge is architecturally pleasing and very useful. It links the old town with Rike Park, where the concert hall and aerial tramway are located. From there it is a short walk (uphill) to the statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali. It is a pedestrian bridge so no need to deal with vehicle traffic. It seems to get quite warm under the glass. I’m not sure how pleasant it would be on a Summer’s day but, it is striking.

The bridge allocated in the old Town of the city near to the Rike Park sits on the bank on the Mtkvari River below the Presidential Palace. The spacious park has several gardens, walking paths and play areas. The distinctive features, however, are the dancing musical fountains, a cable car to Narikala Fortress, an enormous piano and two tubular concert halls (which, during our visit, had yet to be completed).

I mean there’s not much to it, but it’s a cool
bridge. The green color, the funky shape, the concept in the naming: and it’s FREE. What’s
not to like. There’s always someone playing
live music on the bridge, as well.

Designed beautifully, great place for a walk around and a must visit while in Tbilisi. Expect to see crowds, street performers, and traders selling their products but be cautious not to get scammed as it happens time to time. Otherwise enjoy every bit of views offered both sides. Some interesting attractions available near by like cable car and underground market which worth visiting too…

This bridge is a cool architectural marvel crossing the river with a mix of metal and glass. It’s different and it sticks out.
Take a walk or just admire it from the riverside.
Love the bridge - after all, love peace!

The bridge of peace is very easy to locate due to its modern design.
It is for pedestrian use and is one of a number of ways to cross the river from one side of Tbilisi to the other.
I actually liked its architecture and by comparison its sharp contrast to some of the other buildings and bridges positioned close by.
I preferred the view of it from the boat or the cable car but walking across it gave some nice river views and photo opportunities.
It is illuminated at night and looks particularly impressive all lit up.
