One of the tour guides told me to come here. At 12pm (midday) there is a short puppet show just outside from the tower. It lasts a couple of minutes and has music and everything. It was so cute to watch, it was a very good recommendation.

Very cute and interesting building which you should visit since it is also in a nice neighborhood of Tbilisi with many nice cafes and restaurants. I did not have time to buy tickets and watch a show but my friend said that they are good and it is the puppets acting in famous plays such as Romeo and Julia, it sounds fun.

Admittedly I did not go in but my tour guide of the old city shared the history. The building is so unique this is a great place to take photos to share about your trip.

Didn't have the chance to attend any plays in the theatre, but still I enjoyed a lot the view of the old style architecture of the theatre and its fairy-tale clock tower. So beautiful

Mr. Rezo Gabriadze is a well-known film and theater director at Tbilisi's artistic scene! Due to his personal effort, you will find, at the heart of Tbilisi's Old Town, a fairytale clock tower! Every hour, an angel comes out and strikes the bell with a small hammer. The crooked tower is decorated with tiles painted by Mr. Gabriadze himself! No wonder, at every hour a small crowd gathers around the tower. Inside the building, a puppet show! Book your tickets and enjoy the "Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theater"! Enjoy!

Thos quirky clock building is a Tbilisi icon and, if you’re lucky, you’ll get to see the wooden angel pop out and ring the bell on the hour. Apparently there’s an extra special one at 7pm each night but we always missed it.

If you get the chance, go to one of the marionette shows inside. They’re on every night at 8pm but you have to book in advance as it is VERY popular. We saw Stalingrad and it was excellent! Definitely not aimed at war buffs or history fans, as it was more of a whimsical collection of vignettes with not too much of a connected story. The puppets were gorgeous and skill of the puppeteers was outstanding. We loved the whole show, but could see others looking puzzled.

Funny looking building. Watch the tower come to life at noon (don't know if it's playing every hour). Nice stop with an adjacent cafe/restaurant for a small meal or a drink. You can also watch a show inside the theatre, which we didn't.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting very much. I think it was because the box office was tiny!
Please be mindful that you should book tickets in advance. Our show didn't have English audio, but did have English subtitles, which suited me fine.

The puppeteers are very skilled, the story was wonderful and the puppets and sets were fabulous. The added bonus was the English subtitles.

There is a lovely restaurant next door, which I highly recommend going to, before/after the show.

A magical show & a magical evening.

I highly recommend it!
