Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's 2-lane road on Bugaksan Mountain. There's Bugak Palgakjeong on top. Good to spend some time and enjoy breathtaking view.

- No public transportation available. Most people visit by driving. So, this is almost like a hidden gem for locals, too. Walking to the top is not bad. About 30~40 min walk from Sukjeongmun Gate.
- Bugak Palgakjeong is a pavilion with telescopes, a cafe and a restaurant. There's a little supermarket and a good garden to walk around. Northern view of Bukhansan and Pyeongchang-dong is really nice. It's a great place to spend 1~2 hours.
- There are routes to hike Bugaksan Mountain. Kim Shin-Jo Route(route of North Korean terrorists) is easy and nice in the forest.

A very nice view of Seoul. We arrive in the late evening passing through the Blue House. It is very cold and therefore don’t go up there without your car!

I note that most of the lights in Seoul seems white colour. Hence, Seoul is like a silver city at night.

The view up there is simply breathtaking. especially at sunset and night. 100% worth a visit. But i highly suggest you to catch a taxi especially at night when you are heading down hill. Convenient stores and restaurants are also available.

I went up by bus and followed by around 45 minutes on steep road and hiking. As far as i remember, there is no lights AT ALL when hiking towards the Bugak Pavilion. So when i left the pavilion i decided to try another way down the hill.

But unfortunately It is about the same as i went up, not much lights and it really looks creepy and confusing. Finally i decided to walk down the hill alongside the road and it took more than 1 hour 30 minutes before i got back to where i start (Hansung University Station.

So catch a taxi unless you really enjoy night walking at the mountains
