Absolute must of independent creative shops
This place is the antidote to every chain shop. Independent artists have tiny shops selling everything from t-shirts to art to watches. Walk around, after you've checked out the main Insadong Street (Insadong Gori)

    A place for cute souvenirs
If you like cute arty souvenirs, this place is for you. Think Etsy. The poop café is up the top, but it's a bit over rated. We were expecting more poopy things there. There's also a nice little area/garden to sit at the top. On the bottom floor there's a stall that does caricatures.

    Lot of photo opportunities here
The exterior looks promising but we were disappointed with the variety of shops within. The building is designed based on a spiraling concept winding around a courtyard, whereby all the shops are arranged on a sloping walkway which brings you from ground floor all the way to the roof. Lots of photo opportunities here.

It is not what it used to be. This is now a tourist trap. If you only have a short tine in SK, don’t go here anymore. There is nothing to do but buy stuff that will just gather dust at home.

Ssamzigil is devoid of everything that once made Insadong a gem. Charming old shops and sections of twisting alleyways were bulldozed to build Ssamzigil. It's an immense eyesore that represents Seoul's commitment to erasing its interesting cultural history.

Beautiful little building with lots of craft items shops that you can customize as souvenirs. Other than that. Nothing really much. Worth to visit if you have extra time

We visited at night on a weekday. It was really quiet. There seem to be many independent
artists shops here. If you are looking for unique & customisable gifts this place is for you.

Unique shopping centre with well made items that I didn’t see elsewhere. Easy to navigate and can be done in a short period of time - this is not a mega mall like Lotte! Highly recommend the shop selling personalised luggage tags while you wait and Arty Party which has lovely unique jewellery.

Shopping center in the center of Insadong. Interesting layout with a circular walkway going to the top floor. A bit of a tourist trap but fun anyway

Nothing much with stores selling handicrafts expensively. Only shop making good business is the one selling pancakes that shaped like poop and the poop cafe at the highest level.
