The Nanta Theatre in Hongdae is newer than the other couple in town. It is in an interesting looking building in the university district. A fun night out for any age group. This is a visual show, so no need to worry about language issues if you can't speak Korean.

I actually liked this show so much that I went a second time, four weeks later. You don't need to understand any Korean. It's really fun and very entertaining! Great crowd interaction! A definite must see and I recommend this to everyone! Free beverage with your ticket too.

We went to the Hongdae Nanta on a Saturday afternoon. Sitting in second row, we had soon flying pieces of cabbage flying around us, the drumming in our ears, mesmerized by the artistic performance, enchanted by the performers/dancers/kitchen staff. There is NO WAY to miss this when in Seoul!!

Korea has been on a theater/musical swing for years, but this is a true Korean original! If you appreciate food and/or percussion, especially, this is not to be missed.

Didn't think i would be impressed at all, as the story line of a non vocal knockabout set in a restaurant is not normally my taste. However I was pleasantly surprised that the show is actually very good, funny and enjoyable.... Sort of Benny Hill meets the Marx Brothers!. So much so we have seen the show with different casts... Staying in Hongdae

Neighbourhood Profile
Carefree enthusiasm is everywhere in this energetic neighborhood centered on Hongik University, Korea’s top art school. From its assortment of murals to the occasional amateur street performances, creativity and expression make up the wild and beating heart of vibrant Hongdae. At the Free and Hope Market (weekends at the Hongdae Children’s Playground) you'll find one of Seoul’s most popular handmade and creative markets drawing consistent crowds. At Hongdae, there’s never a shortage of things to do and see; food and drink options are nearly endless as are shops and noraebang (karaoke) rooms. Hongdae is also one of Seoul’s top party and club scenes catering to a younger demographic; if a packed club isn’t your scene, you'll also find a range of music venues and bars offering live music in all genres. Although Hongdae has lost much of its unique appeal and undergone rapid commercialization in recent years, be sure to explore Hongdae’s edges in areas such as Sangsu-dong and Yeonnam-dong where Hongdae’s fiercely independent streak still runs freely.
