Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A tribute to korean architecture of the past, it displays the history of the pagoda housing a large bell. A small plaque tells of the history, its located in the middle of the city, close to jongno, there is a park and a tiny sitting area throughout.. other than that, you're better off browsing another temple.

I happened to pass by this building on my way to Cheonggyecheon Stream. The signage introduced it as a bell pavilion. Unfortunately, it was not possible to enter the pavilion as it was cordon off.

Located in a highly touristic location of Seoul, not far from one of the main touristic area Insadong. May be visited while having tour there. Quite often it is possible to see a ceremony here.

This is a pavilion with a huge bell in it.
Since this is a historic site, on New Year's Eve, ringing the bell here is the most anticipated event in the country. Very Crowded. Try to avoid the area if you aren't wish to join.
Locating in the main intersection of Jongno-1-ga, it's easy to access.
The access to inside is not permitted. Mostly not crowded around. It's better to visit when there's an event like a bell ringing.

The bell here is huge and very famous. It is housed in a traditional Korean styled building. The surrounding area is very pleasant and peacefully.

In the past, they used the bell to make the people know about daily time and now it just a huge bell inside the city. But if you come to Korea on New Year, you can join the local people to celebrate the New Year near the bell. They will ring the bell exactly at 00 am on New Year.

Nice Building near Jonggak Station
It houses an old bell, which was rung to indicate morning and night time

This bell tower was not big and only one building. But there was lnadmark in Jongno area, and held New year's promotion every year. Nothing to special, but there was good place to rest with Korean traditional building, I think.

Very close to the Jogyesa temple. The bell is pretty impressive. Good to stop a couple minutes and relax
