We were so glad we had booked Uniworld's 12 day Nile River package called "Splendors of Egypt" for February 2017. This tour was fantastic with an excellent itinerary that went as planned. We saw a variety of ancient Egyptian temples and tombs along the river from Dendera/Luxor to Aswan, the Giza pyramids/Sphinx and Egyptian Museum in Cairo, the Zoser pyramid... More

I had a great time on the Nebyt dahabiya, sailing up the Nile from Luxor to Aswan, especially docking on the shores of the Nile, having dinner at a campfire, with the crew providing entertainment and swimming in the Nile..

We have just returned from an amazing trip on the luxurious Oberoi Zahra Cruise Boat, sailing between Luxor and Aswan. Firstly the boat itself was most luxurious and welcoming, with a superb staff led by the amazing Manager - Mamdouh Milad - who had the ability to be everywhere on the boat all at the same time, and to be... We cruised in style on on the famous 100 year old Paddle steamer watching the sights of Upper Egypt pass by. Excellent food and Belle Epoque cabins and decor. A memorable trip on this historic steamship, so different from the large modern Nile cruise boats. It was so relaxing to listen to the huff from the triple expansion engine coming... More

We'd booked the Cairo, Alexandria and Nile Cruise trip with Titan. A week before we left home Titan wrote to tell us we wouldn't be on the boat originally booked, but on an even better one. It wasn't until we got to Egypt we found we weren't on that one either, but on a third boat. One that allows SMOKING... More

We cruised on the MS Mayfair through Viking River Tours and it was truly amazing. The sensation of floating on the Nile really does feel like you're drifting through time. Sunrises and sunsets are particularly magical. The ship is lovely and comfortable and it's old world charm adds to the experience. The most important thing is to spend as much... More

Just back from a week on Sanctuary Sunboat IV based at Luxor. Arranged by Abercrombie & Kent. The weeks cruise highlighted all the main monuments between Qena and Aswan. Good trip on Egypt Air, Heathrow - Luxor. The boat was a real delight. Excellent staff, well organised, first class in a classic way, great guide added to a feeling of... More

Sailing the Nile and stopping along the way to visit the temples is the way to go. Your boat becomes your home. It's isolated and very exclusive.
