I read the reviews about visiting Cairo and the Pyramids and decided I wanted the safety and protection of a guide from all the Huss lees and scammers. After some research I found Sunset Tours and chose them for a trip trip to the different Pyramid sites, and it was an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. Our guide studied Egyptology, was very knowledgable and spoke perfect English which was helpful, and we where left alone by most of the local sellers.
Our guide and driver turned up 5 mins early, in the cleanest and safest car I saw in Cairo, talked and explained about many cultural aspects of Cairo and Egypt, and returned us to a chosen restaurant at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend this company for any trips in Egypt, as they are a professional and knowledgable company.

We had to change our plans for camping at the last minute (literally the day before) because our Safari with a different company was cancelled. They were very easy to communicate with and helpful. The trip was incredible! Our guides were knowledgeable and fun and made us feel like family. The desert was so beautiful and the off road driving and sandboarding was thrilling! Our guide gave us many options of places to camp in the night and we decided to stay in a more established campsite with bathrooms and Bedouin food/huts because of strong winds. We spent hours eating food, playing drums, singing Bedouin songs, and dancing late into the night. I will never forget this experience!

Visiting the beautiful and ancient Country of Egypt for the first time was truly made complete by the professional and educated Guide Service of Rasha Hamid and Egypt Sunset Tours. Her well spoken English made the experience perfect. From Alexandria to Aswan, Egypt Sunset Tours made the journey easy and enjoyable. My visit to the Egyptian Museum, historical Coptic Cairo, Alexandria, Giza (Sphinx & Great Pyramids), Saqqara and the Memphis ancient sites was brought to life and light by her description of the overall history and the local nuances of each location we visited. I will forever be grateful for her ability to bring Egypt into my life. I fully intend to return for more fun and learning in Egypt with Rasha! Thank you.

We a family of four, with a 16 and 8 year old, like our travels customized, fun, and informative. Our visits to Luxor and Cairo were more fun because we had Rasha accompany us as our private tour guide; both in Luxor and Cairo. Rasha also arranged for a superior quality Toyota van transport for all our needs on this trip. Whether you want a summarized history of the place you are visiting or to know everything there is to know about that monument, Rasha has the knowledge, the superior command of English language, and a refined accent to help understand and enjoy it all.
We overheard many tour guides with other tourists in Luxor and Cairo, but none compared to Rasha to explain it all properly in her delightful, almost British, accent.
On a separate note, we booked our own accommodations. Hilton Luxor has beautiful grounds, but that is where it ends. Suites or rooms are nothing special and restaurant service and food are sub-standard. On the other hand, St. Regis Cairo may just be the perfect hotel stay you are likely to have anywhere in the world; even better than Ritz Cairo where we stayed back in 2019. The accommodations are luxurious. Breakfast undeniably delicious. Menu options in their Asian and Italian restaurants could be a hit or miss, but service is excellent.

Fully conveying what Rasha Hamid brings to the table as an egyptologist and tour guide is difficult. She and her carefully cultivated team of associates seamlessly managed every foreseeable and unanticipated issue with competence and grace. Rasha is capable, organized and experienced in negotiating complexities and cultural sensitivities associated with travel in Egypt, welcoming questions and concerns so even the unseasoned traveler feels safe, comfortable and essentially “cared for” in an unfamiliar land.
From start to finish, Rasha and her team guided our group of 20 through a 2 week adventure including Cairo, Valley of the Kings by land and air and cruising the Nile on a luxurious dahabiya where we received stellar, cheerful service and abundant delicious food. At a minimum, Rasha’s knowledge of the land, its history and her people is highly impressive. Her enthusiastic presentation reflects pride in her country as well as excitement around sharing its rich history with travelers. A female business owner, Rasha is an intrepid and seasoned leader who has built a rich network of relationships over her 20+ years of experience. She is kind and unflappable - greeting adversity with an infectious sense of humor and an optimistic spirit - interpersonally skilled at navigating complexities that inevitably emerge in the presence of group dynamics.
Rasha is simply the best and I cannot recommend her more highly. Frankly, I think she is a national treasure.

From start to finish our two week tour through upper and lower Egypt with Rasha at the helm was an unforgettable, mesmerizing, educational, eye-opening, thoroughly enjoyable journey. Rasha took care of every detail, making it so that all of our time was spent enjoying the moment without ever having to stress about tickets or lines or transportation or accommodations or anything. This is definitely the way to see a country like Egypt. On top of her organizational skills she is simply a lovely person to be with, and so knowledgeable it was like having our own personal history professor walking us through all the amazing temples, museums, and towns along the way. In addition, I must add that all of her support staff, i.e. bus drivers, boat crew, and various other behind the scenes people were top notch because Rasha has been doing tours for 2 decades now and has assembled a team of the highest quality. I unconditionally recommend Egypt Sunset Tours. You will not be disappointed!

We just returned from a two week grand tour of Egypt. Rasha Hamid and Egypt Sunset Tours organized the most wonderful, informative, and fun trip for our group of 19 people. First we were each met at the airport with a friendly English speaking gentleman who saw us through customs and onto our private van. We checked into the beautiful hotel in Cairo and met Rasha , our tour guide leader, Egyptologist, and all around great person. She oversaw every detail - transport, lodging, food, entrance tickets and gratuities. She made sure we visited places when they were the least crowded. We visited all the major sites in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan — took a beautiful private Dahabyia cruise down the Nile, stopping to visit temples, local towns and enjoying excellent service. We finished the trip with Abu Simbel - amazing. We went to Bazaars at night and even visited a fascinating Nubian Village. Whether on boat or land Rasha made sure the food was wonderful and authentic. We had a marvelous time.
Rasha managed to start and end each day with a smile no matter what was thrown her way. Her attention to detail was flawless. Her bubbly personality and warmth are unsurpassed. She made a bucket list trip more memorable than we could have imagined.
I wish there was a Rasha who met us in very country we travelled to.

Forget your worldly worries, your trip anxiety, your uncertainty on prices, your issues with accommodations, what restaurant to pick, and your inability to speak Arabic.
Rasha made our tour seamless with the added icing on the cake being an incredible knowledge of the simply crazy history of this place.
She made our tour super interesting and really fun. There are always unforeseen bumps along the way but with Rasha you hardly noticed them as she dealt with the unexpected and sailed smoothly on.
She also helped us with our fledgling Arabic and helped us chat with the very chatty and delightful Egyptians we met along the way.

Rasha Hamid's Egypt Sunset Tours did a wonderful job organising our recent trip to Egypt. Rasha herself accompanied us, and she combines enthusiasm and humour with a deep knowledge. Her English is excellent and she organised everything wonderfully well, so we barely noticed that side of things at all, but just slid from one adventure to the next. I cannot recommend her more highly - thank you so much, Rasha.

We had an excellent experience with Rasha and the Sunset tour guides. Rasha went above and beyond to help us with transportation and organizing our itinerary. The guides and drivers were unfailingly polite, kind, and knowledgeable. Sara especially was patient and engaging with our children when she included them in our Cairo tours. We especially enjoyed the Coptic Cairo tour, and our children loved the desert tour with riding over the sand dunes and finding fossils in the Sahara.
A note about safety: we had read some blogs and reviews warning us about safety issues in Egypt. However, we had only positive experiences. For our two weeks in Egypt, we felt safe the entire time. There were zero incidents of harassment or threats for the six of us (including two teenage daughters). People were very persistent trying to sell us stuff, yes, but we felt safe wandering downtown Cairo in the evening and through the streets of Luxor too. Most people we interacted with were friendly and seemed to genuinely wish us well - including Rasha and her talented team at Sunset tours!
