Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was the highlight of my visit to Cairo. The relaxing cruise, slow and romantic, on a night studded with jewels of Cairo, reflecting on the mighty waters of this life giving river, had a magical touch to it. Entertainment with belly dance to Abdul Halim and Um Kalthoum, other iconic figure in romantic music in Egypt, raised the magic to beyond expectations. Sufi dance and live music completed the package over dinner. Food was great, and the atmosphere was joyous.
A definite must for a Cairo trip.

We had a taxi meet us at our hotel in Hurghada, take it to the airport and had a flight for the three of us. We were met at Cairo airport by Nedo who took us to see The Pyramids, the Sphinx and to the Pyramids at Saqqara which we'd never heard of but we're amazing to see. Nedo was amazingly friendly and really knew his history. We saw a very local roadside cafe and a few other Egyptian shops to experience ( and buy if you wanted ) clothes/ oils and see how Papyrus paper was made. Nedo would take us wherever we wanted and we wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

Mohammad Rauoof was an excellent guide for myself and my 12 year old grandson. He made sure we saw and did all the things that made the trip very special, and was very knowledgeable about the pyramids and the museum. We had lunch at a very neat restaurant where on all three floors they served only one dish which was a mixture of various things such as lentils, pasta, rice, chick peas, and caramelized onions. It was an amazing and different taste. The whole day was informative and enjoyable. The camel ride at the pyramids was the most fun.

Beware of scammers! They charge you money for a service that was not provided. We booked an airport transfer in Sharm El Sheikh. We were traveling with 2 children, including a 10-month-old baby. The driver did not wait for us after landing, even though I had written a message in advance saying that it would take longer and we had already paid the price in advance. Never again "Egypt Excursions online"! At the airport we spontaneously organized equivalent transport at a cheaper price.

Our guide Muhammad Gam was very friendly and funny and informed us of various buildings a long the river. He made the trip very enjoyable. He took lots of good photos for us and bought us tea at the end of the boat ride.

The pick up car was late, we then had to pick up and drop off some other tourists at their hotel.

Muhammad (our guide) stopped and bought us juice, water and chocolate.

When we got to the river, Muhammad suggested a motor boat because of the weather, the sailor insisted on the traditional sail felucca. Which we had to ourselves. It was almost impossible for us to sail and we spent most of the trip trying to move. We then got towed by a passing yacht to help us get to a better position.

It was also very cold (beggining of January). However we saw a lovely sunset and the city lights at night.

No point in this trip whatsoever. Supposed to be 2 hours but lasted 40 mins (thankfully as it was so boring tacking back and forth the same stretch of the Nile some 500M from where we had boarded. No Guide, No Refreshment. No idea of why this is advertised as Sunrise or Sunset as it was neither of these. Don't waste your money. The only saving grace was the operator Faoud who was prompt and courteous and always available.

Me and my friends picked a one day Cairo trip via airplane from Hurghada. The experience was very nice, from the beginning and up to the end. Our guide, Ahmed, was very knowledgeable and friendly with us - he made sure that all our questions received appropriate answers and his English skills are great. We were the first visitors at the pyramids and the sphinx, which enabled us to take our time and enjoy one of the wonders of the world. The Quad trip near the pyramids is an experience that you should not miss!

As a solo traveller I opted to use a tour so I have transportation to my sites, what was is the description from a pricing to what I actually paid was a vast difference. The guide wanted a daily rate for her and driver as tip.She was knowledgeable however Google can give you more.Instead of making a tourist enjoy the tour the tipping was the highlight. When we got to Sakkara and visiting the inscriptions she sat and I took a walk joining another group to hear the history. The camel ride is quoted in fine print 60egp ,I was charged 300 egp.In my opinion my next trip to Egypt will be get a sim card, data and use Uber.I used Uber back to airport, pleasant with a better air-conditioned ride for 105 egp.In total with tipping and using Egypt Online Tour the next day for museum and bazaar cost me 5800 ZAR.No value for money. The selfies I took out had better quality than the guide. So basically my few good travel pictures is the ones I took out.At the end of the day it is not about

We decided very late that we want to go in Cairo, from Hurganda, by plane and there were no tickets left for us. The administration team were very professional and quickly found a solution for us: private car, with a driver and privat guide.

Our driver was Mohamed Henedak. Very professional, made our day better! For real! He always waited for us with the AC on, and because it was hot outside, in the car was comfortable. And Yes, he drives very good, and safe.
Our Tour guide was Ahmed Salem, again very professional. He has some really creative ideas for the tourists photo! The most important, he is so friendly and explains everything very well and it makes the tour interesting.

Excellent airport service. On the way they waited for us despite it took us a while to do the sims and collect our luggage. On the way back they immediately asked us for our terminal and on collection from the hotel they were super professional. Super recommended, they make you feel immediately safe and quiet!
