A really interesting museum with so much on offer. There are literally thousands of items on display and they contain so much history. It is all very exciting and definitely worth a visit.

The museum is modern and contains many impressive pieces. The monuments around Luxor are grand. Come to this museum to see what was contained in those grand monuments. All of the individual pieces are explained in English (as well as other languages). If you are...More

This is very interesting because it is the ruins of the largest ancient city in Egypt. Very little of the ruins are left - we were expecting to see more. But what is there is amazing, the original Sphinx is particularly large and elegant. Seeing...More

This is a rather small museum and can be done in 30 minutes. The outdoor sculptures are quite amazing. There is also one very large 30-40 feet tall sculpture of Ramses II laying down

There is a quite remarkable statue of Ramses the Great that is horizontal, having lost its lower limbs. Other statuary of interest includes a small sphinx and a statue of Ramses II. This is a fairly small museum though many antiquities on display.

The Huge Statues inside and some statues were in an open area in good conditions after thousands years . It is amazing to see the rich and old civilization of Egypt. It is a must visit.

Statues of Ramses II highlight this area. One is huge and viewed from the pavillion. Others are in the open gardens. Worth a stop.
