Great experience! Our guide was Medhat. He was fantastic, as were all the representatives and additional guides we met along the trip. The visits were well-organised and Medhat went above and beyond to accommodate guests requests and ensure we were comfortable throughout the duration of the trip.
We took the Cleopatra tour that includes Alexandria and got to cover Saqqara as a bonus, as we were combined with a different tour that included that sight (extremely worth-while).
In summary:
- The itinerary includes the main sites in Egypt. In our experience the pace of the visits was good, we didn't feel rushed. You cover a lot of ground in a few days. Everything is organised on your behalf, you can relax and enjoy. Organising this itinerary by yourself may (just may) cost less, but it would entail significant stress.
- The included food was very good (normally buffets)
- Highly recommend taking the cruise option. You can always ride a Felucca back in Cairo. By taking the cruise you can enjoy 1 and a half days of sailing down the Nile (+ a nice accommodation and full board), vs. 3 hours of sailing on the Felucca + a cold night.
- The sleeper train was not very good and below international standards (I've ridden trains in Iran, China, the Balkans before, this was the worst train ever). Consider taking the internal flights or ask to be upgraded to better trains.
Optional activities:
- Highly recommend Abu Simbel, but consider it is a 3:30am wake up call and a 7-hour round trip. We had a comfortable van. If you don't take this option, consider strolling on your own in Aswan and visiting Elephantine.
- Highly recommend the Hot Air Balloon. The views over the West bank are unbeatable, and it's a great option to get a sense of the whole area, as in the tour you will only visit 3 sites (Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple, Colossi of Memnon). Wake up call is 5:30am.
- Do not recommend the Nubian dinner. My husband had been 20+ years ago when it was a genuine dinner with a Nubian family. Although it's still a tasty dinner, it is not Nubian food but the same Egyptian foo you will eat during your entire trip and there is no interaction with the locals. The boat ride through the Nile at night is enjoyable (and during the summer you would do this with some day light).
Other callouts:
- Ask your guide about any extra activities you want to do and if possible they will help you arrange this. I wanted to visit Seti I tomb (not included in the Valley of the Kings ticket) and was able to. You can also visit the interior of the great pyramid (worthwhile for Egypt buffs). We also went to the Karnak Sound and Light show, which we wouldn't recommend as it needs a refresh, but it was nice to have this arranged for us.

This was my second time booking a tour with Timeless Travel. Everything was perfect as my last trip. I had an amasing time and felt pampered and safe during the entire tour. My tour leader Ashraf was very knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. He was always concerned about our needs and accommodated us in our every wish. I was impressed with the lovely hotel resorts that we stayed at with outstanding included buffet meals. I honestly don't understand how this tour company can give us such great accommodations, meals, private tour guide etc for such a small price. I noticed a few reviewers complaining about a few short stops we made here and there during the 10 day tour to the papyrus, spice and alabaster shops. I never felt pressured to purchase anything but found them very interesting learning the manufacturing process. Free knowledge I always welcome. Also I saw a traveler complaining about having to chip in $55 usd for tips that are distributed during the 10 day trip. I find $5.50 per day to tip the hotel staff, porters, housekeeping, bus drivers and private surcurity guard who accompanied us during our road trips too little. As for the reviewer who complained about paying an $100 to cover his entrance fees to the numerous attractions that we visited. These two fees the $55 tips and $100 entrance fees are clearly stated when you sign up for the tour. Please don't let these few negative complainers influence your decision on booking with this excellent and very professional tour company. I more than highly recommend them. Dawn (solo traveler from Switzerland originally from USA) Thanks again Peter and Ashraf from Timeless Travel for a wonderful experience.

The trip was stress free and delivered on all the sights with great rooms simply awesome good food thrown in. The pyramids are a great start but then you start on the temples which just get better before ending up in the valley of the kings. If you do all the optional temples it does get a bit busy but totally recommended Abu Simbel. The rest stop at Hurgada was nice but still a bit cool in Feb for the beach.

Just returned from the Timeless Morocco tour and I wish I could turn around and do it all over again. This tour was even better than I hoped it would be.
The itinerary is perfect. We did a lot in Marrakesh, fully experienced the desert camping with camels in the Sahara, enjoyed more than enough time in Chefchaouen, and had time to do something in every other city along the way. There were a lot of interesting stops and beautiful vistas between each city as well, making the time between each destination a lot of fun too. The riads were beautiful and the hospitality and service was outstanding.
Everything was effortless and smooth thanks to tour guide, Yassin and driver, Jamal. Yassin taught us a lot about the history of the country and its customs and traditions- we loved his history lesson! He was very knowledgeable and happy to answer all of our many questions. He also did a great job of keeping us informed throughout the trip so we were always prepared for our next activity. He and Jamal kept everything running smoothly- they have it down to a science.
I am already highly recommending this tour to everyone I know who loves to travel. I don’t even have any suggestions for improvement, it was perfect!

Absolutely fantastic! We (two 65+ women) were met on arrival and personally guided throughout the entire tour. Saw all the major sites plus several extras and our guide Ash, was knowledgeable, patient, helpful, professional, and personable. We always felt safe and taken care of. The hotels ranged from nice to very very nice. The Nile cruise was wonderful. We added a few days after the trip to go to Jordan and see Petra. Timeless Tours arranged everything - air travel, transportation, visas, guide, etc. We were nervous about traveling to the Middle East at this time but were impressed by how quickly Timeless Tours responded to email. They were incredibly patient with all our questions and very helpful. This company is fantastic and I would highly recommend them.

We had an enriching travel experience with a diverse group from all around the world on our Best of Egypt tour. Our guide Ramez was excellent in his Egyptian knowledge (delivered with passion!) and provided good support for the group's various needs. Occasionally felt a bit hectic, especially a few very early starts, but more than made up for by the sheer stimulation of all the places we visited amd the tour guide's enthusiasm! Nicely varied itinerary too.

Abbsolutely perfect Egypt Highlights tour with Timeless Tours! From the moment we met our incredibly knowledgeable Egyptologist Mariam, we were spellbound by her passion for Egypt's history. The Philae Temple visit, Abu Simbel and Hot Air Balloon over the Valley of Kings were unforgettable highlights. So many more to mention. Traveling in a small group of six felt like exploring with family, adding warmth to every moment. The accommodations, Nile cruise, and transportation were superb, ensuring a seamless journey. Hurghada provided a perfect retreat after days filled with temple and museum visits. Every meal was a delight, and the birthday surprise on the cruise was a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend this tour for an enriching and memorable experience!

I had an absolutely amazing time on the Nile adventure Felucca cruise, especially with our guide Mina Malek who just went above and beyond to make sure we all gelled and were on time to everything. He also made sure we went to the spots at the best times too so it wasn’t always crazy busy. Had an absolute blast! Highlight was the felucca cruise and Luxor temple!
Recommend bringing warm clothes if going in winter. Was a lot cooler and windier than expected! Especially for the felucca night. But was an absolutely amazing experience. Also bring mosquito spray/cream for midgies as we ended up getting bitten on our faces by midgies and they’ve still left a red mark a week later. Bring your travel pillow for the long van rides too and sleeping mask.

Very well organized to visit the main sights in such a short time. Never had to wait for our transport. Mina Malek, our tour guide was knowledgeable, patient, kind and had a sense of humor that set the mood and made everyone comfortable.
The food and accomodations were good. Good plans to make sure we get enough sleep.
Felucca, pyramids, Luxor temple (at night), Abu Simbul were my favorites, but I can keep going.

Impressed by Timeless Tours' well organised tour! They were amazing from beginning to end. Our tour was to visit Cairo - Luxor - Cairo and we upgraded from coach/4 star hotels to flight/5 star hotels. This is my first holiday with them and I was nervous as I hadn't known them before. Hany took care of all my enquiries before the holiday and answered well timely, offering further help if I needed. One of things I could feel safe with is that they have a UK office, where I live. Their operation in Egypt was amazingly seamless. we were continuously well attended, relayed from one staff to another who well communicated between them: a greeting staff at the airport, hotel check in staffs, tour guides and drivers (can be different everyday). We were well informed, sometimes via Whatsapp from guides (a driver's location etc). Our tour guides in Cairo, Samar and Mariam, are the best. They made my holiday extra special. Their personal touch service/guide are the top, professionally and personally. I really like them. All drivers were wonderful too. Our flight to Luxor was delayed two hours.. Hamada in Luxor re-organised our schedule (he was waiting for us for two hours at the airport!) and made sure our stay were fine. Unfortunately we had one concern in Luxor. He quicky understood it, which was a great help.
I am very happy with Timeless Tours and I can highly recommend to fellow other tourists!

Just wondering what the security situation has been like for travellers in 2019? We have a trip scheduled for August, is there a reason to be concerned? Did you feel safe in your time there? Thank you!

I feel security is great and better than other countries, there are armed escorts on tours and when boarding the cruise. Every site has a security presence, which for me reduces risk. Terrorism is a global risk and in other countries, I havent seen as much security as Egypt. I feel it is something to be grateful for as opposed to no security. That being said, from my view, the country is safe, and vigilance helps keep u safe too
