We came here in August of 2018 and WE chose FB stables thanks to the good comments about the horses conditions and it's true. Compared to others in the area, they are who have the better horses. We came with my boyfriend and we wanted a exclusive experience and they made It posible. We were just 3 persons counting the guide. My boyfriend never ride a Horse and thanks to the excepcional guide and horse we could galop and see the sunset. I will never Can thank enought these people, they made our experience unforgetable. I Hope we could come back to see you.…

I specifically sought out this stable so I would be able to enjoy the pyramids with horses well taken care of. I will say I did not witness any of Fb stables staff using blatant abuse which was very prevalent in the area. I thought both of horses we were riding were too skinny. Although, our guides horse looked fine ( that is the horse you see in a few of the pictures). Our guide did have a strange expectation for an above normal tip. It didn’t bother me so much because I’m comfortable saying no but, he made it clear that he wasn’t happy. We tipped him on par with what we tipped highly skilled/ educated guides during the rest of our trip despite the fact you don’t really need a guide here. They send one with the horses which is understandable however, the guide doesn’t really do much here. I can easily see how some reviewers were uncomfortable. I happily paid more than market rate for the horseback riding because I was under the impression the horses were living in better conditions. All I can honestly say is, I saw much worse as far as animal welfare. I still wasn’t comfortable with the condition of the horses. There would be a good market for well taken care of animals... I think they have more work to do to be that business.…

My wife and I enjoyed a 2 hour ride with Ahmed at FB stables. We wanted to see the pyramids and have a chance to ride horses, but my biggest worry was the hassel with money and the chance of getting scammed. We trusted Trip Advisor and we were not dissapointed. We paid 400 pounds each for a guided, 2 hour tour on horses. We appreciated that the horses were well cared for, unlike the appallingly inhumane stables in the area. We didn't mind paying this price knowing that the horses are fed, watered, and cared for. Ahmed, the grandson of Faruk, was a great guide and instructor with the horses, allowing us to go at our own pace. We tipped him 100 pounds to take care of his children and horses. Great experience!…

Went with my wife to FB stables and it was amazing! We took an Uber from our hotel on Tahrir Square (60 Egyptian pounds) and arrived at the stable around 4:15pm. We did not have a reservation and wanted to do the 2-hour sunset ride. After a 2-minute negotiation with the owner, we had 2 horses brought and his son, Amr, as our guide. He took us through a neighborhood and out into the Sahara. Once in a lifetime adventure!…

We had an extra day in Cairo before our tour began and we booked the 2-hour sunset camel ride just outside the Giza complex. We're a family of 4 with 2 teenagers, so this was a truly unique experience for them (for all of us really)! It was really fun. To see the sun setting while you're out in the desert on a camel, with the pyramids as a backdrop, was breathtaking. It was quite dark by the time we were riding back and it was something to see Cairo all lit up from the darkness of the desert - really beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. We had also arranged to eat the BBQ chicken dinner on the roof of the stables. The dinner was very good, but the bathroom facilities were horrendous. We wanted to wash up before dinner, but felt dirtier after using the bathroom than before. Thank God for moms and their disinfectant hand-wipes! I only wish the city would clean up the mounds and mounds of garbage everywhere - on both sides of the lanes leading out to the desert, even in the forested side, there are just mounds of garbage. We even saw a dead horse lying there and the stray dogs were starting to show interest. Not nice things to see and kind of puts a damper on the overall experience in Egypt.…
