The supervisor “Fayed Ali”refused to allowing me access with my camera, and asking for $1500 to use inside the village.

Note that I’m not using the camera for any commercial business, only for self internet as a photographer.

When I asked to speak with the manager he said “I’m the one and only one to talk with, and the big boss is out of the country”

Anyway, it looks he is really giving a bad reputation of the place, and I’m encouraging people with camera not to visit the place.

I visited this place once 30 years ago, and I went there once again with my kids because it is unforgettable. I have to say, it has been renovated and a lot of activities had been added.
We took the package of ( 5 museums, the maze, the escape room, kids area with the cinema , all with a private guide). We did not try the boat tour for lunch.
All we visited were really nice and clean except the 9D cinema, I do not recommend.
The kids enjoy the tour very much specially the maze and escape room.
You can get very nice photo shot every where but with your mobile, regular camera not even professional you will have to pay for.
A lot of shops to buy souvenirs inside, like having a papyrus with your name written in ancient Egyptian characters.
The only bad thing is people are asking for tips when you are walking which should not be in such place.
The tour takes about 3 hours, so get ready and ENJOY !!!

The concept of the Pharaonic village is very nice, where you’re in a boat and they enact the history with supporting audio. Thourougly enjoyed it !
DOWNSIDE- we were looted at the counter as different counters have different fees- it’s ridiculous !!!!!
We took the Nile river boat ride (45mins), didn’t really enjoy it as there was a boat ride for the history, we took 5 museums out of which 3 were useless.
Just see the introduction to Egyptian history and the museum. Saves time and effort

Easy, interesting and relaxing education in Egyptian Pharaonic history. We went with the intention of providing our young granddaughter with a child friendly education, other than having to read to her museum plaques and hustle her past mummies. All of us enjoyed this outdoor living history museum. Not the least of it was that most of the tour took place seated on a boat drifting along a tributary of the Nile, with breezy papyrus stands and white egrets. So relaxing and welcome after hoofing it around the Pyramids complex in 100 degrees F. They seem to offer various language narrations. Proof of the value of the education was at Edfu, our granddaughter recognized the offering room which was described to us at Pharaonic Village. Waiting area is air conditioned and sells light snacks--like Doritos and Coca Cola which was welcome and familiar fare to youngsters.

It has two parts. The tour by river is amazing and the river area has many birds with good green landscape a palace to relax while on boat; I like it It is amazing . It is also good for kids. The second part which are supposed to be museums are really nothing and wasting time and money, most of them are just photos with some words from Wikipedia.Do not waste your time searching for those many fake museums.

A nice recreation of village life in ancient egypt. A pleasant and informative way to spend an afternoon. Much bigger than I expected and quite well done. It's not like going to the pymairds or the Egyptian museum, but it is educational. Great if you have kids.

When you visit Egypt do not miss the Pharonic Village in Cairo. It is an unforgettable experience as you journey down a river amongst high reeds to give the effect of Ancient Egypt. On the banks people appear dressed in ancient clothing to act out the history of the ancient Egyptians. Commentary is supplied on the boat in several languages. Once you reach the village you disembark and enjoy life as it was. There are places to enjoy some real Egyptian food and you can even dress up as an ancient Egyptian and have your photo taken. You can walk around the wishing well that is 7 times and make a wish. It is real fun .

On our third day in Cairo, our tour guide took us to Pharoanic Village during the day and then a Nile cruise in the evening.

The village is basically the history of Egypt in a nutshell. Because it is privately run, the quality of the museums and replicas is pretty good (foreigners pay about 100 Egyptian pounds as an entry fee). First, you go on a guided boat tour where various statues depicting the gods worshipped and their significance. Further on the boat tour, there are live actors depicting various aspects of living in ancient Egypt (sculpting, fishing, glass blowing, etc). You will also see replicas of famous temples, tombs and artefacts around Egypt (i.e. not only in Cairo, but those located at Luxor, Aswan, etc). After the boat tour, you will be taken on a guided tour of other mini-museums or halls which will depict Coptic Cairo, Islamic Cairo, etc.

Well worth visiting if you know you aren't going to see anything else outside of Cairo. Great for kids too.

the pharoenic village isnt on the usual tourist "things to do in cairo", mostly because you need about 5 hours to do it.
Situated along the nile, the taxi would cost you about 50-100 egyptian if you haggle.
you need to be there about 10.am and you start off in a boat which takes you through the times of moses and through to ramses with people dressed in the clothes of the times and the scenes replicating this also...to be finished off with a photo of you dressed up to your choice ...i was cleopatra.
costs about £17 english to get in but so well worth it and the replica tut tomb with all the objects found by carter is awesome...and you can photograph them which you cannot at the museum
