The Nile River whole story
Dec 2020 • Family
The museum is an astonishing showcase to the history and story of the great Nile River. Mr Mohamed , the manager of the PR has offered us a great explanation to every detail in the museum ; he is very professional indeed. The 11 African countries that surrounds the Nile River are represented within the museum. A magnificent view over the whole city , Aswan is available through the second floor of the building. There is a very precious library that has very valuable books, maps and newspapers.

I feel bad about Aswan for this "museum" Good only for children.

The displays are childlike, like they came from a 5th grader's history textbook, except English textbooks are reviewed for proper English and spelling. I found at least a dozen grammatical and spelling mistakes in the English descriptions.

The descriptions are mostly childlike, and the displays very basic.

I found it in a beautiful new building, with the parking area fenced off by security.

Just a weird experience overall.

As a seasoned traveler, I have to say this is the WORST museum I have ever been to! Just a bunch of cheap crap and Waz figures of angry old Egyptians. And don't get me started about the exhibit with Cleopatra and the Little Mermaid! Aweful!!

Intriguing
Jan 2019 • Family
It was an intriguing experience. It is a new museum showing things and equipment relating to the Nile and its dams. It has an aquarium with an alive crocodile in it. It is a small museum, very nicely arranged and beautifully decorated. At the entrance there is a 3-D display of a water fountain showing all the countries through which the Nile flows.

New Idea For A Museum With Average Direction
Jan 2019 • Solo
The museum has been inaugurated in 2017 or 2018. It's core objective is the river Nile in general and in Egypt in particular along with ancillary items, industries and buildings relevant thereof.
The place is well built and furnished yet, I see that the overall direction of the contents of the museum is average.
However, this doesn't mean that visitors should not go there, it is a recommended place to see overall.

Fun park or museum?
Dec 2017 • Solo
The location of the building is great. It is on flat hill overseeing the Aswan Highdam.
Once inside you feel like having entered a kind of theme park with elephant sounds and water gushing from a strange fountain leading all the way up to the third floor of the building. The history of the dams at Aswan and other man made interventions in the flow of the Nile is dished up in small segments on boards near poster like images and photo's. It reminded me of geography lessons at primary school.
Perhaps nice for children, less so for adults.

The Nubia and Luxor museums are so mucht better, but for once this museum is not about the pharaos, but about technology and development of present-day Egypt.
