I attended the Sound & Light show at the Philae temple with a group of about 20. Nearly all in my group really liked it. But I was a little disappointed. As you listen to a recorded narration (audio) in the form of a play...More

The sound and light show is mobile. You cross to the island by boat and are taken through the temple, with the story of the Nile, Isis, Osiris and Horus being told as you go. The show ends with further storylines whilst sitting watching the...More

Amazing and fascinating. A real taste of the Pharoahs greatness. A must visit especially at night or at sunset.

If you have to choose to visit the Philae Temple day time or during this Sound & Light show, I would recommend the Sound & Light show. During 3 stops at the temple, you explore the history of this Temple. Be prepared for the cold...More

The boat trip is great. Mumbians run the boats and the gift area. Their artifacts are cheap and unique. Well worth buying a souvenir or two we did.

A nice story told by some famous British actors but it was just lights turning on and off highlighting various parts of the structure. The seating area is not raked so if it is crowded your view is limited. Advise taking a torch as the...More

Egypt has many but this one is unique ,i guess the location of the temple and being on an island in the middle of the water of the Nile made it spectacular and unique .

My daughter and I travelled to Egypt late April 2018, it was one of the amazing holidays made even more spectacular by our tour guide Egyptologist Michael Farah. We travelled in small buses in groups of 10 people. Our tour guide was excellent. The Pyramids...More
