What would Isis say today if she learned that her temple was allowed to sit in water for many years? She would not be happy with this, but she would be proud to know that, like her husband Osiris, Philae was reborn so that new visitors can see the glory of Philae year after year. ...

A good sound and light show. Especially now that there are not too many people going. So it is easy to get there and get a good seat. Bring a light jacket if you go from Oct-Mar because it gets a little cool at night and the wind can whip through.

You reach there by a short boa ride. The sound and light show is well done and takes you along the different parts of the temple. The first two or three sessions are walking and then you sit down in an amphitheater in the open for the last session.

A little melodramatic at times, still wonderful to visit Philae at night with the atmospheric lighting and a boat ride under the stars

A wonderful show that was theatrical and astonishing !! Very moving story of Isis and her Family of Gods, really one of the best highlights of all in Egypt to see in my humble opinion. We were lucky the night we went there were only 25 people so as we moved through the Temple to various places in the story... More

I went to Philae Temple in the day time... and then went back a few nights later for the Sound and Light Show.. Which takes you back in time.. U almost feel as if you are there with the Pharaoh"s..Tours are in English, German, French.. and I think Spanish.... To be there and hear the History is so amazing!!
