In January I traveled to Egypt with my mom, independently, we compiled our itinerary ourselves. We did tours with a few different agencies, all good, but Magic Carpet was our absolute favorite! We had guide Ahmed in Luxor, and guide Salah in Aswan. Friendly and knowledgeable guides, we had an amazing and fun time with them during our trips. Also the vehicles are nice and comfortable. Arranging everything beforehand with Shaimaa went very smoothly and pleasantly. At the end we also arranged just a transfer with Magic Carpet (Aswan to Hurghada), which was again very pleasant (comfortable car, kind driver). Highly recommended!

We had fantastic days. Rabi, our Egyptologist tour guide, showed us all the special places in Luxor. We have already seen a lot of the world, but this was very impressive. Rabi told us the history in a great way and knew where to visit the sights at the right times when it was quieter. We felt safe every moment. Mohamed was our private driver. Highly recommended so you can see everything quickly. We will definitely book with Magic Carpet again next year!

Trip was incredible! Had a great time learning about the fantastic ancient Egypt history and culture, and seeing the Valley of King, valley of Queen, the Karnak Temple, the Luxor Temple .We are shocked, can’t imagine how the ancient Egyptians 4000 years agin they could decorated the pyramids and temples with brightly painted sculptural reliefs and large frescoes or mythical animals.
Rabie who was our tour guide was knowledgeable, fantastic and was diligent in making it an informative and enjoyable day. Would recommend. Actually Right now it is real safe to travel in Egypt. We are here two weeks run all over the country Aswan Luxor Hurghada Cairo Alexandra Port said and black white desert, along all the way every one is nice and friendly to the tours.

My wife and I had two fantastic days of tours with Egyptologist Ahmed Rabie and our driver Karam. They helped us see and learn about the Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, valley of the kings, Hatshepsut memorial temple and the tombs of the nobles. Plus Ahmed had plenty of knowledge about all these sites and gave excellent local restaurant recommendations. We felt super safe and comfortable the whole trip, and were in awe of the rich and fascinating history kept alive here in Luxor. 7/5 stars!

Magic Carpet Travel really knocked it out of the park on every level— we booked their services for a private car and guide for our first trip to Egypt. We used their services in Cairo/Giza/Saqqara/Dashur/Mephis and then in Luxor/ Aswan/ Abu Simbel. We were also on the Nour El Nil cruise in the middle of this 12 day trip. 7 days were organized by Magic Carpet Travel. Flawless pick up, communication, attentive service, excellent drivers and comfortable cars, and we feel they gave us reasonable prices having compared notes with some other travelers using other agencies. I’ve reviewed the first leg with Theresa which was terrific, and this is a review of the absolutely sensational guide Rania, who has two master degrees in hieroglyphics and Ancient Greek. Our visits to Luxor, Karnak, Hatshepsut Temple, Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon, and Habu Temple would not have been the same without the GENIUS guide Rania. Every description was riveting, we learned so much, and fell in love with each site. She is fluent in English, German, and Arabic, and maybe other languages— her depth of knowledge was impressive and immediately manifested when she spoke about any site or object. We could not have known what to look for without an Egyptologist pointing out all the major aspects of interest— from the hieroglyphs to the graffiti from historical times. Luxor is mind blowing, the size, the scale, the brilliance of the temples and tombs. I also want to note that it was extremely safe with multiple bag checks at every site and traffic checks on the road. We never felt unsafe, even walking in the streets alone at night to Luxor Museum and Mummification Museum. We also had a great time with our guide Sammy to Abu Simbel and our drivers in every location were superb drivers. Sammy and Rania both walk through all the things to look for with postcards/prints in advance so you can go inside the tombs and temples and know what to look for (guides are not often allowed inside the sites to help reduce wear/moisture/bacteria in the tombs). They were never late and drove really well. If you want to visit Egypt this is a great time. At peak season, Luxor temples attract 40,000+ people a day. I’ve uploaded some photos showing the crowds because many tourists from other countries (China/France/Italy/ Spain) were there in droves. I highly recommend going now. The whole trip was a dream! Thank you, Magic Carpet Travel!

We had a very good experience with Magic Carpet. We booked hotels and flights to and in Egypt by ourselves, and used Magic Carpet for airport transfers, transfer between Luxor and Aswan, and daily visits to tempels etc (guide, driver & car). Everything was perfect!

We did the half day West Bank Tour with our guide Ahmed Rabie. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything in easy to understand manner. He took us to Valley of Kings where you can visit 3 temples on your ticket and pay extra for any more temples you need to visit. Then Queen Hatshepsut Temple, Alabaster factory & Colossi of Mennon. Rabie was really patient too as we like taking photos and videos and good person overall to have as your guide!

Note that the tour does not include tickets so you have to pay for them separately using your card.

My family had the best tour experience with Magic Carpet. The company let me customize the tour to my family’s interests. Our Egyptologist in Cairo was Mrs. Teresa and in Aswan and Luxor was Mr. Rabie. Both had an excellent command of the history of the areas that they showed us and also gave us insights into the culture and cuisine of Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan. I was a little nervous before I got to Egypt but the guides and drivers made sure that we were taken care of for the whole journey. Also, I am genuinely grateful to have met such friendly, funny, and knowledgeable people. I will definitely recommend this company to my friends and anyone else that I come across who is planning to travel to this part of the world.

Our family holiday in Egypt was made perfect by Magic Carpet Travel based in Luxor. We started our journey from Luxor towards Aswan. It was a memorable journey in a new and air-conditioned van. We stopped by Edfu and Kom Ombu to visit the magnificent temples. We learnt about the ancient civilization of Egyptians during the time of the Pharaohs. The temple architecture was amazing. The next day, we drove from Aswan to Abu Simbel. Mr Ahmed Samara was an excellent driver who ensured our safety and comfort. Mr Tayeb was a great tour guide and Egyptologist who is well-versed in English and provided insightful information during our tour. The Abu Simbel Temple is not to be missed. It was relocated to its present location during the construction of the Aswan High Dam. We enjoyed our visit to the Abu Simbel Temple, the Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Nubian Village. Thank you very much also to Mr Mostafa from Magic Carpet Travel who helped us to plan our tour itinerary so well. We appreciate all your help in making our family holidays so memorable. Thank you!

Great service, they offer tours all around Egypt. They’ve helped with tours and transfers in Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan, including Abu Simbel. Great service, timely answers. Special thanks to Ziad, who was my main contact during the process of booking, great professional.
