A bit of a circus with all the begging that goes on in and outside the tombs by the people that work there but try to over look that and just take in what the craftsmanship was like over 3000 years ago it's just amazing what they achieved with the primitive tools they used.

Once you leave the Valley of the Kings you might regret not seeing more. All the artwork, the stone bas-relief carved into the tomb are free from the Nazi Coptic Christians destruction of ancient Egyptian artwork, chiseling out the faces of their Gods. The artwork of the Egyptian Book of the Dead, or the Duat, "Realm of the Dead" in... More

It was one of the better sites in Egypt every wall detailed and preserved. However there was a great deal of steps so not for anyone who is not fit. Well worth the energy, its so hot that going early morning is a must, hats and suntan cream and sun glasses definitely needed. The trip was definitely spoiled by "the... More

Another extraordinary example of Egyptian civilization in Luxor. A must see attraction. Just pick some tombs combination (according to the price). Most of them seem to be very similar and only of you are a history lover, then you have to visit all of them. However, even the less famous Princes and Kings's tombs are very impressive. Photography is forbidden... More

Always have drinking water with you. Place is really very hot ,no jokes. But do not panic, you've been warned.Forewarned is means... More

The tombs themselves were absolutely enchanting, so well preserved, the level on detail on each and every wall and even the ceilings were astounding. We went on Saturday and it was extremely hot (hats, sunglasses and sun cream definitely necessary) but in the tombs themselves it was very cool and comfortable. HOWEVER, I hate to say this but what should... More

I have always wanted to visit and I wasn't disapointed! the quality of the tombs is amazing. You have to pay an extra £10 to go into Tutankhamuns tomb. Which isn't the best tomb but personally I wouldn't of left without seeing it. We were asked to give lots of tips here compared with any other tourist thing we did... More

Valley of the kings is a wonderful place. however it is a very stressful and unpleased visit we had. we were hassled as soon as we get out of the car, and in the kings grave, the guide ask for money, which at that time we did not have any US doller change, then he trying to scare us and... More

This was not exactly what I has imagined it would be, but very pleased we visited all the same. Not all tombs open, they rotate availability so you never know which ones will be open in advance but still plenty of choice. The additional 100LE to vosit Tutenkarmuns tomb is a bit expensive by local standards, and not the grandest... More
