About
We sail the Nile! Come sailing with us! Get the feeling of sailing down the longest river in the world, where the Egyptian pharaohs lived and built their temples. There is not a cloud to be seen in the clear blue sky. The shores are lined with mango trees and date palms. The mountains of Thebes rise in the west behind a narrow fertile strip of soil along the shore.

Amazing voyage on the River Nile, visiting marvellous historical monuments along the way. Super friendly crew (Ramadan, Mohamed, Adel, Rabia, Bob Marley, Hamdi) and guide (Salah) and a remarkable chef (Abud) preparing loads of nice food. We hope to be back!

Amazing experience on the Minya ! We absolutely loved our stay: great crew, fresh and diverse food, beautiful rooms and a perfect balance between enjoying the boat and visits to discover Egypt (and not only the antique sites).

We sailed aboard Abundance for 5 days. We had 3 different nationalities of passenger on the cruise and each group had their own guide. Maged was absolutely amazing; so knowledgable, interesting and very kind. All the tours and expeditions were very well organised and stress free. The chef on Abundance was brilliant, I'm still not sure how he managed to prep so many delicious meals for roughly 18 people in the world's tiniest galley kitchen. We were 8 travellers, 3 guides and up to 10 crew on board but the dahabiya felt roomy and comfortable. The cabins were small but very well thought out and the en-suites were lovely. Nice products too! All the staff from the Captain to Mustapha the young lad who got to do all the jobs requiring nimbleness (like climbing the mast), were lovely and chatty but not intrusive. Just the best. This was absolutely the best way to experience the Nile and its treasures, I can't recommend this Sail the Nile highly enough.

An absolutely unforgettable experience that blew our hats off. The team on board Dahabiya abundance are amongst the nicest people we have met in Egypt and were very hospitable, caring and attentive to all of our needs. The boat itself is heavenly & luxurious, with a really cool upper decking to chill on during the day. It is all inclusive (except from alcohol) which meant you could get anything you wanted at any time of the day. For each meal everyday, we had something different, almost like an Egyptian version of tapas so we got to try a range of delicious local recipes. Each night we docked up beside a remote island, in what felt like the middle of no where which was very tranquil. On the second night we were surprised with a BBQ on the island, illuminated by lights surrounding the table - it was truly surreal. The Kanafeh dessert we were served was to die for, we all loved it! I could not recommend this more to anyone considering this cruise - it is peaceful, relaxing, luxurious and the views are breathtaking. At times, you feel like you have just stepped back in time hundreds of years.

Each day we stopped at different temples and our tour guide, Tayeb, provided great insights to the ancient temples that surrounded us and the stories behind them. He was a brilliant host & guide - thank you Tayeb!

I always feel that the hosts make the biggest impression on your stay when you stay somewhere, and this crew certainly did in the most positive way - they are so nice and fun to be around. Thank you to the entire crew for 4 days of serenity - we loved every second of it and will be recommending it to all of our friends and family who wish to visit Egypt in the future.

We spent four wonderful nights aboard the Minya, sailing upstream from Luxor to Aswan. It is the most romantic vessel, with room for 14 passengers (13 on our trip), small enough to feel intimate with the iconic river. It travelled under sail when the wind allowed.

It is a beautiful craft (even the floor of the lower-deck corridor was lovely) with an authentic Egyptian feel. There are several lounge areas above and below deck, so you can mix as much or as little as you wish. Drinks and meals are served on the open upper deck.

Aircon in all cabins. We took (and strongly recommend) the spacious suite at the stern, with twin balconies where we lay drowsing as the banks drifted by and the rudder churned the Nile’s waters.

The crew gave us a trouble-free passage and were ultra-attentive to our needs.

Two guides, for English and French speakers, took us to nearby temples and villages. They unfolded the meanings behind the beautiful and enigmatic hieroglyphs, and welcomed questions. Again, they were attentive to our needs.

Remarkably, the captain purchased a wheelchair to make life easier for my wife, who had been struggling on long walks with only a walking stick.

Without question this was the highlight of our two weeks in Egypt.

A dream come true. The reality really exceeded imagination and expectations..in every sense. The ship: unique..we felt like we were going back in time. The colors perfectly matched the decor..the space perfectly distributed. The attention given to order and cleanliness was perfect and faultless. The captain and crew were welcoming and warm from the start...and above all, they conveyed sincerity to us. The sincerity in the smiles, which greeted us every day, was so genuine that we felt part of the crew.
A crew that showed kindness, competence and professionalism, who knew how to be at the same time unobtrusive but always present. The waiter deserves a mention: a person capable of infecting everyone with his smile and cheerfulness without ever neglecting professionalism. Not to mention the kitchen: he fulfilled all our culinary desires ... a perfect combination of variety, quality and quantity. Exceptional not only for the palate but also for the eyes.
And the icing on the cake was SALAH..our guide. He really made our trip and our adventure magical...which already would have been perfect and unforgettable. It was a blessing to have met him and enjoyed his company...his expertise...his kindness. He is one of a kind, both as a guide and as a person. It was really enjoyable to listen to him..to be mesmerized by his stories....
It was a wonderful experience with an unexpected spiritual twist.

We sailed the Nile on the Dahabiya Minya. This authentic sailing boat has been decorated with great taste! The rooms with its white and pastel color palette feel very airy. The bathroom is just perfect and the dressing is very well designed so you have enough storage space. And the crew, and our guide, Sellah; extra ordinary! Top hospitality, top service, top food and a top knowledge of Egypt and its ancient wonders. Our guide spoke very well english and was very inspiring. We loved our stay on the dahabiya! So grateful 🙏🏻

This trip was incredible. The boat was beyond gorgeous, the service was impeccable, and the crew was so amazing. We loved the tour guide and spent the days going between touring historical sites and then lounging on the boat getting to watch the scenery down the Nile. I can't wait for the chance to share this with more family and friends

There are truly no words that can describe just how incredible this cruise is, I could not have been happier with my experience! The boat itself was absolutely gorgeous, with nice private air conditioned rooms and a beautiful deck that they left ample time for us to leisurely enjoy. It was the perfect mix of down time to relax and enjoy the Nile, and interesting/informative excursions. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and kind, teaching us rich history as he lead us through everywhere from temples to small coastal villages. On top of all that, the crew of the boat was so fantastic. They showed us nothing but warm and welcoming hospitality, anticipating our needs before we even knew we had them. The food was delicious, the service was top notch, and the atmosphere was relaxed and easygoing (and even playful as we got to know the crew better!). I went with 4 friends and it was one of their birthdays on the last day of the cruise. The crew went above and beyond to make her feel special; decorating the deck, making her a big beautiful cake and even coming up as a whole crew to sing and dance with us at the end of the night!! They really made it hard to say goodbye when this dream of a cruise was finally over. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough! It will be the first thing I tell friends visiting Egypt to do, and our group agreed we should do the 8 day/7 night trip whenever we can make it back to Egypt!! Thank you so much to the entire crew, we miss you and we will be back as soon as we can!
