Get a matatu to Khayega then boda-boda from there to Kakamega Forest Station: you won't be disappointed! Friendly staff at the office, lovely guide, beautiful views from the hill and a community that feels welcoming. The conservation programmes are doing great work.

Take a one hour flight from Nairobi to Kisumu then a one hour or less bus ride to Kakamega town which is 50km from Kisumu city.
