The market offers a very nice variety of places to shop local handcraft, local art, international shops, a well stored supermarket, ATMs and different Restaurantes. You can arrive by taxi and spend the whole afternoon reviewing the different shops to buy presents and memories from your visit. We had breakfast twice (there is a nice bakery with good Capuccino and... More

We were living in Nairobi when Village Market opened. It was the place to go for shopping, eating out and entertainment. Fifteen years later the mall is showing its age. Steps are broken and it needs a paint job. I visited quite a few stores. Store clerks just do not believe in customer service. Cashiers are literally with their heads... More

I'm not a shopper, so this review isn't about going here as a tourist. Instead, we went here multiple times just to stock up on supplies. For that purpose, it is great. For starters, there are plenty of ATMs. There's a grocery store which can get you whatever you need for your day trip. The ArtCafe was also great for... More

After enduring about a half dozen near death experiences on the way to the market due to using those little buses called matatus (Swahili for three), I finally got to the Village Market for the Friday Maasai flea market. I really liked visiting here a lot!!! The vendors were very friendly, although some were very pushy, which can be annoying.... More

No ramps to new parking - only stairs. What to do if you have full trolleys? Post office boxes moved - no one could tell me where to. Lovely trees all cut down and is now a concrete wasteland. What a shame. Nothing villagey or markety about this shopping Centre.

Village Market Nairobi is a luxurious shopping center of western style with expensive and modern shops. It is located in Gigiri residential area near United Nations Crescent and US Embassy, 10 km away from city center, across Nairobi River, at the back of Karura Forest on Limuru Rd. It is in fact a large shopping and recreational and entertainment complex.... More

The place looks nice, but trip advisor should update the information. It shows that it's open until 11 pm and when we got here at 7 pm the only thing open was the food court. Local market is only on Fridays. Trip advisor please update information

It is all about expectations! We were there yesterday after freeing up a couple hours from our work schedule. I was expecting a traditional market with local vendors with local wares who'd haggle over prices. This is really a conventional outdoor mall with a mix of local stores, international (BOSE audio) and services (music lessons, interior design). NO price negotiations... More
