Tremendous amount of wildlife, including Rhinos right next to the city!

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the amount of wildlife available for viewing without too many crowds.

We also saw white rhino. However, the best sighting of all was seeing a serval in... More

The museum it's self is a bit out dated and old but the stuffed bird collection is the best I have ever seen. Nearly every East African bird species is exposed and then some from other continents. There are also some intresting historical artifacts remaining from pre independence and some local artists expose on the upper floor.

The national Park was great load of space for the animals to freely roam. Only sad thing is some litter as its in a urban area. think the rangers should collect it if they see it.

Given the proximity to downtown Nairobi and the crowds of vehicles, I didn't expect to see too many animals but I was wrong about that. We saw a leopard, hyena, lions, giraffes, ostriches, zebras, wildebeest, and both black and white rhinos. All with Nairobi's ever growing skyline as an odd backdrop.

Great place to visit in Nairobi if you have no time to go out to one of the wildlife reserve. You will find the big 5 here!!!
