My best mate and I were travelling Kenya and Rwanda for Christmas and NYE. I had done hot air ballooning before back home in Australia but my best friend had not and it was on her bucket list so I organised a small surprise for her. Ilkeliani Camp arranged it for me within a single day of notice as my... More

An amazing sunrise trip low over the Serengeti ....we saw a leopard stalk a buffalo calf, zebras, elephants and hippos in the Mara River. We skimmed over the trees and had a birds' eye view of the vast Serengeti - an amazing morning. All the team were so professional and Serkan looked after us with great skill .....do it ....its... Our balloon had 14 people in it. There were 7 along each long side. When the balloon took off, my spouse and I were on the back side. In other words, we were facing backwards and could see where we had been, rather than where we were going. I could turn around and look at the backs of the heads... More

Very professional company, we ranked this experience amongst our top five during our time throughout various parts of Africa. The pilot Serkan was very experienced and made the trip incredibly fun by swooping low to see crocodiles up close, then rising far above the treetops to see raptures nests. Ballooning is clearly his passion, he loves his job and this... More

DTue to a mix up with our agent we ended up flying with Adventures Aloft. It was a very early morning as we were an hour away. The trip was well worth it. Serkan was our pilot and he was very good and a good laugh. The ride is so smooth and the sunrise is amazing. It can be hard... More

arrived at Fig Tree Camp with coffee and snack waiting for us and encountered an Eland very close, watching as we walked to the trucks. This was our first balloon ride and the calm and capable Hatem instilled confidence that freed us from worry so we could fully enjoy the wonderful flight above the savannah. We saw not only the beautiful sunrise... More

We were in the Northern Serengeti where we had our balloon ride. We signed up for this 'once in a lifetime' ride at a cost of $500 US per person, 2000 US dollars for our family of four. Totally fine if the experience was memorable, but it was only memorable as a complete waste of money. To begin with, we... More

A dawn hot air balloon ride over the masai mara followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush is not something you do every day. It was an amazing experience and we never felt unsafe with our great Kenyan pilot. The views are amazing, albeit you won't see the animals well from such a height, but you'll have seen them... More
