The Mara River is where it all happens. Hippos sleeping and eating. Crocodiles swimming and eating drowned wildebeest who didn't make the crossing, vultures... well we know what they do. Walk along the banks and see the sights. A good trip.

Remember the big animal migration that you saw on tv? Must probably has been filmed here ! A emblematic place with crocs, hippos, birds and the places here herds cross from and to Masai Mara Reserve.

Well worth being on everyones bucket list. stay in a resort on the mara river where you can be one with the hippos. when planing your trip bring school supplies for local masai children and plan a visit to their school as part of your experience.

To be in the Masai Mara where the animals migrate is a sensational feeling. Hard to believe that we were there seeing the animals in their natural habitat. Do not miss the opportunity of going to the Masai River. Lots of hippos and a few crocodiles.

approx a 2 hour drive from hour lodge, Went on a guided walk with a ranger and saw crocs and hippos. I thought we'd see a hippo but must have counted at least 30 in one area. take a good camera!

We were stuck at the river for about an hour or so, looking at the wildebeest congregating and hoping hat hey will eventually cross. They did not. We, however, spotted a lot of hippos and crocodiles. We saw one dead crocodile which looked like it was stepped on by the wildebeest as they crossed.

Found in masai mara .Its the place where million of wildebeast and thousands of zebra cross while crocodiles awaits the weaker ones. You can do a guided walk to see the the hippos and tracks used by the animals.

Watching lions in their natural habitat was so cool. I couldnt believe i was so close to the king of the jungle. Almost touching them from the safari vehicles.
