From planning our trip, to being dropped at the hotel, nothing was too much trouble for Glorious. We arrived late in Nairobi and after a short rest in our airport hotel we were picked up by Shauri nice and early and driven to our first lodge in Tsavo West. On the drive to the park Shauri shared his wealth of knowledge about the areas we passed through, as well as getting to know what we wanted from our safari and what was our wish list of animals to see. From Rhino to Dik Dik, Shauri managed to find them all despite the difficult odds. We travelled from Tsavo West to East and finally on the forth day to our hotel for the rest of our holiday. The whole trip was expertly arranged and managed. We couldn't thank both Shauri and Shadrack enough for our amazing trip and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a safari.

We booked the Safari element to our trip through Glorious Safaris because of the reviews on TA. We knew the lodge we wanted to stay in so it was just a case of Shadrack booking this and one night in a hotel in Nairobi. He recommended the Wildebeest Eco Camp.
When first contacted, Shadrack was prompt with his responses but later he did not respond to my chasing emails for confirmation and I was having to follow up my emails. He asked for the balance monies to be paid in cash. When we arrived Nairobi no driver met us. Both the numbers we had were going to voicemail. We got a cab. Shadrack replied later apologising for mix up and he would refund the cab fare. He told me he would see us at the lodge the following morning and would be there at 0730 and we should be ready to leave at 0800 to get our flight to Mara North. At 0830 the driver arrived in the smallest car ever. There were 4 of us and 4 big bags. He was also not a registered cab or tourist driver. The car was a disgrace and we crammed in. We were extremely lucky the luggage did not fall on us. The driver was late because of the traffic (but he lived in Nairobi so why didn't he leave with plenty of time) We finally got to Wilson Airport. We deducted the USD40 for the cab and an additional USD200 which we thought was very reasonable ($50 each) for all the inconvenience we had incurred and the unsafe journey we had undertook to the airport (when questioned about the car, Shadrack said he should have bought the other one).

Dear Margaret and pty. First and foremost on behalf of Glorious safaris would like to thank you for having selected us. Again do apologize for the mix up on our part as already had been said.personally would have felt disappointed to have arrived at the airport and not meet my driver. when you emailed me that you were at the airport it came as a shock as we were expecting you at night.I immediately responded that it's fine take a cab to Wildbeest camp and that we will sort this one out.I also apologized that the fault was on our side that we had not changed the flight details from the initial 21.05 ETA when we started the safari inquary ,to the mid day one when you now slotted Zanzibar.Totaly our faulty and sincearly apologized for this. I mentioned to you at Wilson airport that traffic jam caused the transfer mess. I was to personally pick you as had travelled overnight and the driver was waiting for me along Mombasa road with a van.when I realised the traffic jam was going to mess us up. I called Joanes on the other side to pick you up and we link up at Wilson.I also kept you ubreast and at one point you mentioned because of the jam you were worried that you might miss the flight to Mara.I assured you not worry i was as I was in contact with safari link and that you will get the flight.when I called Joanes I expected He had the big van by then but surprisingly he was with the saloon. He apologized and explained that since I called him ubrutly He rushed with the saloon to beat the traffic as there wasn't much time, again am sorry for this. When we met at the airport you had already reached a verdict of deducting usd 200 from our balance for a ride that would have costed usd 25. I apoligised and mentioned it to you that the penalty was heavy more than our margin but if it was going to settle the matter I apoligised and let it go as I knew no amount can equiet a ruined holiday experience, but since you opted for that I agreed to it. Once again as The MD of this company we sincearly apologise and hope that you will once again visit our beautiful country Kenya.Rest assured it will not happen again.

Like many others, I contacted Shadrack due to the positive reviews on TA and he did not disappoint. He was responsive with emails. All options and costs were thoroughly explained. We were a group of 6 and were able to arrange a customized itinerary including a Masai Mara safari, Lake Nakuru safari, and Nairobi city tour. Everything went perfectly and as planned. The accommodations that Shadrack arranged for us were amazing and surpassed our expectations. Our guide for the entire trip, Shauri, was fantastic. He was always on time and professional. His skills at spotting, seeking out, and identifying the wildlife at the parks while driving/navigating through the mud without getting stuck was impressive. We were able to see and get close to all of the big 5 and even found a bunch of cheetahs! Shauri was also one of the nicest and most patient people I have ever met. Could not have asked for a better guide or safari experience. Book with Glorious! You won't regret it!

We dealt with Shadrack to organise our honeymoon to Kenya. It was our first time in Africa so we had little to no knowledge on the best spots for safari apart from the research that we'd done. Shadrack was a fantastic help and suggested a number of packages based on our price range.

Communications were always great via email so I was reassured that everything was on track despite being based in Australia and Shadrack in Africa. We really benefited from their local knowledge.

Edward, our safari driver, was friendly, knowledgeable and catered everything to our needs. We seen the big 5 and only had 4 days on safari (Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru), followed by 10 nights at a beautiful beach resort hotel in Mombasa.

There were a few hiccups at the beginning of our trip due to delayed flights into Africa which Shadrack dealt with wonderfully despite the late notice.

Highly, highly recommended!!

I contacted Shadrack due to his positive feedback on TripAdvisor. He always answers e-mails right away. So he made an offer for a safari which I accepted. I had to make a deposit of 30% on his account. It was scary to transfer so much money to a foreign account and pay the rest cash two days upfront without even a receipt. But everything went well. There was only one incident. Our driver didn't come to pick us up. But Shadrack managed it, he called us a taxi and we arrived at the airport on time. Shadrack is trustworthy. I wish I could have scheduled more safaris with him.

We had a fantastic holiday in April 2017. It was to celebrate my daughters 21st Birthday. Edward was our Safari guide and absolutely brilliant! The lodges that we stayed in were immaculate and exclusive.

We have used Glorious Safaris before and when we started looking at going back to Kenya our first point of contact was Shadrack; who worked tirelessly to help us arrange a trip to remember.
He arranged everything from meeting us directly off of our flight, transferring us to the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru our stay at the resorts, safaris during the stay and so much more.
Our driver (Edward) was an absolute gem of a man; polite, courteous, well-mannered and SO knowledgeable about the regions we passed through and stayed in; and a regular Dr Doolittle when it came to finding wildlife to photograph.
And it was thanks to his positive aptitude that we managed to see The Big 5 including seeing including both black and white rhinos
There was nothing that he wouldn't do to make our time the best that it could possibly be; even to the point where we needed to replace a suitcase and he took us to a local supermarket on the way back from our stay.
The vehicle was a long-wheel based 4x4 with a roof which raised up to enable you to stand while on the safari area and there was so much room that we literally lounged around in the rear when not on the look out for wildlife.
It's worth noting that we arranged a private tour to enable us to go where and when we pleased on the Masai Mara (whereas accompanied tours have fixed routes).
I genuinely could not recommend this company enough and will definitely be using them again when we next feel the pull to return to this beautiful country.
Ps to Edward....Thank you for all your hard efforts in getting us to back to airport....we caught the flight with 5 minutes to spare thanks to you

We had many safari companies to choose from and we chose Glorious Safari and everything from the pickup to the organization, accomodations, timeliness and quality of the driver was beyond our expectations. Eduardo knew the parks, the animals and could spot them from remarkable distance. He made the extra effort for us at every opportunity to see the lions that we tracking all day and even coordinated to pick up my son's tablet he left behind in one of the hotels.
The safari was very organized with cold water, binoculars, clean van and we always reached our destinations on or before our scheduled arrival time.
Kenya is one of our most memorable trips and we attribute a lot of it to Glorious Safari and Eduardo.

Overall - Great sightings in Masai Mara with Edward as our guide / driver who was brilliant! Shadrack was great in frequent in his prompt responses. Will be happy to arrange another safari if I was to go to Kenya again.

The journey from Nairobi to Masai Mara is very long though Edward made it as convenient as possible. The jeep was comfortable and great for photography as I prefer the open top.

Mara has amazing sightings in particular of Lions. I would love to go back again; though concentre more on Leopards and Cheetahs.

September is a great time as the Lions were mating frequently therefore very visible.

The migration is so - so if I'm being honest. It's way too crowded and not really a great spectacle with all of the vehicles.
If you are not inclined I would give it a miss as it can take up a whole day. Concentrate on the other animals!

Logistics with Glorious Safaris was easy and not too difficult. I prefer Operators where you can pay a sizable amount when you reach your destination. Shadrack was very accommodating so just discuss an appropriate way to finance.

Accommodation
We stayed at Serena Lodge which is located in the Mara. Great location though tad pricey, but very convenient.

Food was excellent, service was great plus the accommodation was fantastic with a great view of the surrounding areas.

Please message me if you require any further information.

Cheers

Harry

Found this company purely by searching the internet. It was only because Shadrack replied so quickly and was extremely helpful with my questions and queries that I was happy to book. We decided on 3 day 2 night safari in Tsavo east and west. Not only did Shadrack organise that, he also collected us from the airport and back again.
The safari itself was fantastic, Shadrack accompanied us for some of it. We were lucky to have the jeep all to ourselves. The driver (Jackton) was brilliant. He was brilliant with our 9 yr old son. He was happy to stop for anything we wanted to see and waited for us to give the ok to move on. Not only that he kept in contact on the radio or spoke to other drivers passing by to see if anything had been spotted. Or if he saw other vehicles speeding off then he knew to follow. Which meant we saw 3 cheetahs, 3 male lions by the roadside and a leopard in tsavo west. So we were more than happy for our first safari to see everything apart from the elusive rhino!
The lodges we stayed in were basic but more than adequate for what we needed. Plus having a view of buffalo and elephants wandering around by your balcony what more could you ask for?!
Going in dry season definitely helped spot animals a bit easier.
15 lions, 3 cheetahs, 2 leopards, 200 + elephants, zebra, giraffes makes for a successful trip!
I would definitely recommend using glorious safaris. Shadrack was brilliant, all of it was brilliant!

Dear Jade. Thank you so so much for the review and am glad that you had a great safari with us, we really appreciate and hope that you will once again give us the opportunity to handle your next forth coming safari ... this time to search for the Rhino in the not far distance future. God bless
