The beach starts around the public beach, which is a nice pace to interact with the locals, rather than other vacationers. There is a joint there that has decent pool tables right on the beach.

It's the beach!!! Romantic walks, swimming, jet ski hire is available. Along the beach are plenty of restaurants & bars you can try.....but beware of the beach traders who can be hard of hearing when the answer is "no".

Nice beach. The food from the little stalls are very good and very cheap. Just certain days the people trying to sell you stuff can get a little tiring. I was there four days. One day not a single person tried to sell us anything. Second day couldn't even relax because of them. Third and fourth day were not so... More

Nyali beach is located in one of the more affluent areas in Mombasa and some the beaches are clean and pristine. Lovely clear water which is not too cold and always welcoming for a swim. Few restaurants and hotels line the beach so you are never short a place to grab a bite. Beware random walkers who might be trying... More

The beach has reasonable facility for a public beach. It is clean and visitors feel welcome. Children are catered for with affordable floaters and swimming costumers are readily available.

The water is dirty so I didn't quite enjoy my swim. Apart from that, I was welcomed with friendly service as usual. Not the most exciting destination but also not the worst.

My first snorkelling experience was here on the shore of the Voyager resort. It was perfect, so many beautiful creatures to see. On low tides, you can walk to the reef almost a kilometre away from the shore and this was the most fascinating thing about the beach. I said to myself "the sea walks..." Be sure to grab your... The beach was generally devoid of tourists There were locals who latched on to chat but with an underlying reason to get money. So beware! Generally chatting about life and work availability in Mombasa etc seemed to be negative, being told they need a certificate to work. This appears to be a certificate of education. If you haven't got it... More
