It has nice warm waters. We opted to keep our valuables at the hotel next this beach at a small fee though they were other locals offering the same service in the beach side. There is readily available local transport on standby .Oh yah there...More

It was hard to swim here because of the seaweed and plastic. Travel to the North or South coast for better beaches.

Out of the last 18 yrs that we have spent quiet holiday time here, this was the most disappointing. TV not working, fridge spilling water and if thats not enough........... It was noisy , dirty and we were inadvertant attendees at a wedding......for which we...More

It's clean and ideal. Great for early morning jogs and dog walking. Pretty safe. Good view for the sunrise .......

Closest to the city of Mombasa on the northern mainland is the Nyali beach famous for its white sands and easy access to the reef at low tide.

Kilometers of perfect beaches and clear water. Only problem: if you are white exlect a lot of attention by people selling tours, safari, clothes, and dhaw related activities. Just say you are not interested and they will go away after few useless chats.

I spent 4 days in Wason cottages on Nyali. The sea and beach was clean. There was friendly beach peddlers who were very helpful. An excellent place of relaxation.
