The Water Cube is spectacular at night as the lighting constantly changes giving the impression of coloured water washing over the sides of this building

We get there by daylight and were not recommended to go inside, since there is nothing to see there other than an Olympic pool. The real show comes at night fall, when the outside building changes its colors and make an spectacular view for photos.

Wanted to have a swim in a Olympic pool but didn't know the ticket sales ends by 1750 hr. Was there at 1805 hr thinking it doesn't close until 2000 hr. Hope others won't be disappointed like me.

A fine building which looks its best at night. Birds nest stadium is close by. We stopped off on the way back from the Great Wall. Don't think it warrants a separate trip unless you're particularly interested in Olympic history.

A treat for the eyes. Beijing 2008 was a long time ago. This wonderful arena has gone to waste as it is ignored mostly and stands only as a tourist attraction. What a waste. Magnificent structure that can be made great again.

No need to go out of the way to see it. But if you must, then go at night when they illuminate it. During the day, it is just a lifeless white cube.

Since the Olympics the Water Cube has remained an Olympic size swimming pool for swimmers and swimming events. The unique place is without doubt mesmerizing from outside, light reflecting on the sides.

The green Rio pool is already drained and disused, but this water cube is still going strong since 2008. It's both a tourist attraction and public pool. Nice to have a look inside and see the grand scale of this place. They have many fast...More
