This place is such a mess, literally, that it can be quite amusing to see. The replicas of different Chinese architecture are mostly fake and abandoned, the only other people I saw in the park were some technicians trying to hide some pipelines that where coming out one of the artificial ponds. Most of the paintings on the buildings seem... More

This is a very large open air park, with an excellent display of real size replicas of the houses and temples of different Chinese ethnic groups and how they live. Except on Monday, which is regarded as a rest day with entrance fee halved, there are regular cultural performances by different ethnic groups. The place, regrettably, now looks a bit... More

I imagine this venue was a lot better during the Olympics, but now it's like a super ghost town. Kudos to the people who envisioned this and the teams that found structures and sections of whole villages to transport to this site. They're all surrounded by typical plantings and, if originally located on hillsides or lakes, those are reproduced too.... More

A great place to visit and I would definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in China in whole. We managed to see different performances from different nationalities and I found them really entertaining. We had only 3hours to explore the place and it wasn't nearly enough. There weren't many tourists, which I think is a shame. Almost everything was... More

We’ve been to China Nationalities Museum a number of times and it’s a hit when people are there. Conversely, it’s a real miss when there aren’t people. I really hate crowds but when there are very few workers at the park, there will be no performances. When there are a decent number of people, workers will come out and so... More

We looked for this place for 5 hours. Finally we found it. Nothing about nationalities. All about trading from all parts of china: Silk and pearls. Sculptures.

We spent a nice couple of hours to see the replicas of houses, temples, even streets and mountain villages of a variety of provinces and minorities of China. It would take considerable Chinese language skills, plus considerable time and effort to see that much of the diversity of Chinese cultures elsewhere. This nicely laid-out ethno park makes a very nice... More
