Everything inside the summer palace is a must-see. It will show you how life used to be in China in the old days. All attractions are interesting and worth the time. Nice pictures to be taken to remember your visit to Beijing.

I was awed by many sights at the Summer Palace, and certainly including this magnificent setting on the hill overlooking the lake. Great views, but more importantly, a sense of calm. An important stop in a tour of the Summer Palace.

To build this city with modern day equipment would be a monumental task. To learn that it was all done by manual labor is almost unbelievable. The attention to detail is mind boggling.

This is only for fit people who can walk and climb. We had to walk a lot to reach here and but the view was stunning. Try to reach as early in the morning as possible. It was fabulous place.
