Beautiful area near Beijing, 120km from - this park has many fun activities for young and old. With the cable chair you can to the top of the mountain. Also bungee jumping is possible. Many restaurants are located near the river.

I went there eith my chinese collegues on a saturday. We went on a hilk to the glass bridge (I think there's other glass bridge way better around Beijing). Then we went for bungee jumping. We had to wait 1h30 to jump but it was a good experience. Finally we went for boat riding and water fight. Good ppace to... More

Still not sure how we got there as the roads are even more chaotic than elsewhere & nobody speaks English. Still, the female population of Shidu seemed to like me (they kept coming up and asking for photos). It's definitely all about the bungee in Shidu. It was pretty nerve racking going up the skylift and seeing how high the... More

The 'Dus' are busy with tourists, but pretty good. The rock scenery can be amazing. The road around all the dus should be driven to see the huge rock outcrops. 9 Du has a cable car that goes up to a ridiculously high viewing platform overhanging a cliff edge - I'd love to do this. Our taxi driver took us... More

It's a beautiful place to visit at least once. Good atmosphere and nice surroundings. The maintenence was not bad. But I feel it's quite expensive if you go for any special rides. The water was so cool and felt good.

My boyfriend and I went for a day trip to Shi Du. We got the subway out to Suzhuang and then got a taxi from the bus stop. It was easy to get there. We fully embraced the kookiness of the tourist elements added to a place of natural beauty. We did the bungee jump (so much fun and cheap... More

Driving to Shi Du from Beijing. I went on a weekday to avoid the crowd - good decision. Left East 3rd Ring at 7:30 am, no traffic to speak of - 2 hours to Shi Du. Left there at 2:45 PM, hit beginning of third ring rush hour. 2.5 hours back. You need a Chinese drivers license in addition to... More

For sure, the view is beautiful but the way to go is really a daymare. First, the way to go is really not safe. Most of people having a fanzy cars drive very fast on the wrong direction during traffic jam. That produce really dangerous situation when cars come from the another direction, that also increase the traffic jam and... More

We went here while staying in neighboring Bailixia. The train leaves in the morning and returns you in the evening. The park was well kept although the concession stands every few hundred feet tended to blight the enjoyment of the canyon. This area is meant for people seeking family fun on the river and is filled with boat rides and... More
