Great daytrip!

Great place to view the leaves changing color in the fall. There are two main paths leading to different peaks, one of the paths has 1299 steps! Dog friendly park - we brought our dog and some picnic lunches and had a great time.

Great place but catch bus 888 not 912
May 2014 • Couples
We decided to pay a visit to this park during the Labor Day holiday (May 1-3 2014) since it was likely to be much less crowded than the usual tourist haunts around Beijing. We were not disappointed! We got wonderful views on the 1299 stairs trail and found ourselves essentially alone on a trail through the forest climbing up to a lookout east of the stairs trail when we decided to go up the hill a second time.
An important bit of advice regarding buses: Despite extensive web research that indicated bus 912 from Andingmen would be a good choice, we found that route 912 no longer exists. We were directed by a bus ticket person at Andingmen to catch bus 888 from Deshengmenxi (Deshengmen west) bus station. The bus stop is on the road outside the bus station. The ride is 1 h 15 min. The end of the line is Changpeng Fengshan which is about 20 m from the entrance to the park. Very convenient. And the cost of RMB 2.40 (~US$0.40 - with a transportation card) for the bus is hard to beat!

A group of us went here for dinner. In the summer they have a beer garden and live music. It was AWESOME! It is 20 rmb to get into this place and during the summer you can use the 20 RMB for food and beer. There were many different beers and the food was awesome. The place was awesome, really we had a great time! ... Must see the Buddha when you are there as it is 3000 tons and 10 meters high.

Just watch your purse as one of the people in our group had it stolen because she was drunk and careless. But honestly this place was great, they also have mountain trails, you could spend the entire day here.
