I was driven from Beijing center. The road was extremely crowded 7am on Saturday morning, so I'd see if there is a better time, or take the train. The ticket office was not busy when we arrived (~8am), but was by 11am. This is an...More

The Great Wall of China is something you should not miss. It is expansive and impressive. Climbing it is a challenge and I cannot imagine doing it when it is crowded, raining or snowing. The gift shop needs some items for tourists to purchase but...More

It's quite difficult to #explore during winter. It was so windy today. And it was a bad day for me. This was my 5th time at #World #Wonder #Great #Wall. My recommendation is to check wind status before visit.

The guide brought our group here early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Wonderful rebuilt section that can allow anyone to experience this iconic piece of history.

Winter is a good time to avoid the crowds since Badaling is probably the most visited wall part. It is sometimes not as cold on the wall as it is in Beijing and climbing makes you warmer. Another good way to avoid crowds is to...More

I wouldn't recommend doing this one at the height of summer. Maybe better in the fall or spring. The climb is very steep, but they have a cable car fort hose who cannot climb. At the top, the view is amazing

Your schedule is too tight to make the trip to the Great Wall. You should leave at 4:30 am, and only be there for a short period of time.
