Once a summer retreat for emperors, this 290-acre park is still a retreat for the crowd-weary tourist, who can relax here or stroll around ancient pavilions, mansions, temples, bridges and huge lake, stopping occasionally at a shop or tea-house.

Gorgeous walk! Wear good shoes because the hills and slopes and uneven sidewalks will get you! Beautiful landscape and very peaceful. Don’t miss it!

Relaxing place to visit. Quite picturesque and nice scenery if not to crowded. Attractive architecture and lovely gardens. An easy walk and a scenic boat ride.

I've been before and although it was busy it was enjoyable. On National Day holiday the crowds were immense and our group had to give up. Our guide had never seen anything like it.

This wonder was built as a summer retreat or the Emperor's mother - the man made lake is a wonder and boat trips are readily available. Go early and take time to walk about.
