Liked it - good walks and a hike to the top...

Nice park. Worth a wander if you have the time to spare in your visit. The walk to the White Pagoda is worth it (costs extra - payable near the summit). Affords good views.

We like many of the parks in Beijing. We dont find this Beihai attractive. But remember that We have made our visit in Winter time. Go visit the jingshan park instead (nearby).

This was a wonderful walkthrough one of the emperor's former Gardens. The gardens were very lovely and wonderful as we're all of the buildings with the different types of designs and architecture. I would recommend taking time to visit the garden.

I recommend visitors to take a boat, it's very quiet and beautiful in the Park. Our driver gave us fresh lotus seed, it's very tasty! Also you can go up to Pagoda. It's very unusual for China. Beihai Park is pretty good for family rest, for sightseeing, for hiking is ok too.

Pay the 10 yuan ($1.50) to get inside. It is a lovely place of quiet and respite in an otherwise bustling city. Gorgeous walking paths and views of the city.

I went there at night and it was a nice night walk. I recommend it once the sun is gone and everything is closed (everything close so early in Beijing in winter !)

A great place to see the city from the heights near the white dagoba.Locals relax and walk, on clear days the vistas are delightful. One can imagine the court enjoying sport and leisure here in the past. Boating in summer. This is Beihai, north lake. Zhongnanhai, south central lake, is close by. So Beihai Park is very close to the... More

It's a big park with a lake, some temples and a pagoda. Some places in it are wonderful. Some people play music or sing, it's a very peaceful place with a lot of charm.
